Crowne Plaza Resort ASHEVILLE by IHG

We stayed here in June of 2026 while attending a family reunion. There weren’t a lot of people there when we were there, so that made it better I’m sure. The rooms are a little dated, but nothing too bad. The property is really beautiful and there are concrete paths to walk around. They had a nice outdoor pool and a nice lobby area with a bar and a big fireplace and places to sit. We played a round of Jenga that was sitting out. They had an outdoor movie night going on while we were there. There is a lot to do outside. There was a zip line course and some bmx bike areas to ride. We weren’t there long enough to use any of it. It was well priced and fairly quiet other than one family with some kids up early. Would stay again.

This place is amazing and definitely a hidden gem. After years of coming to Asheville and staying at an Airbnb, I would definitely recommend staying at this hotel instead. The food is amazing, the customer service is amazing and the staff is super awesome. You can pay $8 to have a round-trip shuttle to downtown Asheville and get picked up by 10:00 p.m.. also, another incredible experience I had was one of the workers offered to make me lunch and fresh brewed coffee despite it being after lunch hours when I arrived! This is the ultimate experience of exceptional customer service. I will definitely be returning with my husband and children to stay at this lovely hotel. Also, the pool was amazing and there's not that many locations with the pool nearby.

This property is so out-dated, dark and dingy. The toilet seat was ridiculously low and lopsided and the toilet ran on and on even after the maintenance guy came and fiddled with it. On the TV, there is an IHG promo on repeat telling you all about how clean they are while everyone in the commercial is wearing a mask. Nothing like a 5 year old COVID reassurance commercial to make a place seem stale. But the weirdest part is that there are people staying in the hotel getting sleep studies! It made me feel like I was sleeping in a clinic! Yuck.

We had a very enjoyable stay. The hotel is currently undergoing some renovations, but they did not detract from our experience. Our room was clean and comfortable, and the staff was consistently friendly and helpful. The onsite restaurant was good, with a lovely view overlooking a beautifully manicured lawn. Breakfast was excellent, reasonably priced, and a great way to start the day. Overall, a great stay, and I would happily return.

The pictures of this resort do not match the actual location. There isn’t a fire pit near a pergola anywhere near the resort. There is a fireplace inside the main lobby, which is nice. We were charged about $100 more upon checking in than our online reservation, which we will be disputing. We stayed just one night because we were just passing through, but there were plenty of families here for longer stays. There was a roving group of 10-12 year old boys who were really loud just running up and down the hallway without any parents in sight. The pool was loud and overcrowded, and we’d probably have enjoyed it if our kids were younger. There were 2 cops standing at the pool gate which was reassuring but also questionable?? It wasn’t chaotic so I’m not sure why they were needed except alcohol was for sale so…??? I’m happy they were there but there didn’t seem to be a problem. Dining options are limited, but ok. We ordered sandwiches and they were pretty good, fries were hot and crispy. Drinks from the bar were fine, but the wine overpriced. Like a glass of subpar Chardonnay is just $1 less than a pretty decent old fashioned. That said. Our room was spacious and was clean. So 3 stars for our accommodations alone. Not sure we’d come back. I guess if you want a family vacation it’s fine but there are cabins nearby for a better deal.

The picture displayed was the Biltmore Hotel. There’s a clue as to what you are not getting. Because when you see the real thing it’s a disappointment. Rooms are damp and linens are too , since they absorbed the moisture in the air. Grandson has bites on his leg and arms. Not sure what’s in the carpet that caused that. Lobby and Expo area are kept in prestine condition. Clearly where their priorities are focused on. Food was okay. But expensive.

Surprising good visit. Beautiful property inside. Outside too, but some construction being done. Very nice and good people like Natalie and Mary ann. Great value on good food. Ate there 4 times. Clean, room was renovated and very nice.
