Kimpton HOTEL ARRAS by IHG

We had an awesome stay here. Great from start to finish. The valet team is great - very friendly and helpful. Adam at the front desk was so friendly and had helpful suggestions for gluten-free food in the area. We even had a surprise room upgrade that was amazing! They even had a treat bag for our little dog. We will definitely be staying here our next time in Asheville.

Berry, the receptionist, was incredibly kind, not just because he upgraded our room to a suite. I really felt he welcomed us and genuinely cared about our hotel experience. The room was spotless and proudly displayed the Kimpton signature, unlike typical cookie-cutter chains. Each floor had a Reverse Osmosis water purifier, so I didn’t have to rely on plastic water bottles. They also offered coffee in the lobby every morning(so there is no coffee machine in the room), and there was a reception on the lobby floor in the evening too. The breakfast was both affordable and delicious (the potatoes were the best!), and the service was outstanding. This was my second visit, and I’m definitely planning to return in the future.

Book this hotel and you won’t regret. It’s the first time stay at Kimpton hotel and was the perfect choice. Location is unbeatable. Service is impeccable. Room is well appointed. Food is spectacular. Staff are eager to create memorable stay starting from the moment you step into the hotel. Lobby is clean and feels cozy. Nicole provided great service. Check in process was a breeze with the highlight of upgrade to a suite for the special weekend. Nicole was friendly, poised and knowledgeable. Elite recognition was good. We got breakfast coupon and a goodie bag with chocolate. Don’t forget to mention Kimpton password at checkin and ask for amenity coupon (we didn’t get at checkin.) Room is spacious, clean, cozy, beautiful and has great view. There’s no coffee maker in the room. Every morning you can get a cup of coffee of tea until 11 am at lobby. Love ice pack in the communal refrigerator in front of room x16 too. Very thoughtful and sanitary. It’s very tough to say goodbye to the room. We chose breakfast as welcome amenity choice. The coupon allows you to choose one entree and soft drinks plus gratuity is included. Breakfast was the highlight of the day. It’s very very very good and the service was very very great. Ordered French toast, burrito, omelette! Orange juice is fresh and tasty. Cappuccino and latte are as great. Dinner was awesome. Try Halloumi salad and you won’t regret it. We also ordered lamb gyro and smash burger happy hour set. They are all very good. Throughout the stay staff always wanted to help and resolved the issue. We were very pleased and this Kimpton becomes favorite hotel. Thank you.

Stayed two nights at the hotel. Very good staff the famous 5 to 6 pm reception and a good downtown location are the highlights. Plenty to see close by for food and drinks. Rooms are on the smaller side but overall a great stay

Stayed here (July 24-26) for a birthday celebration and I just love this hotel! It was my first time staying at a Kimpton. It had a cozy vibe that felt boutique-y. The whole hotel seems to have just what you need and not a bunch of stuff you don't. For example, they don't have coffee makers in the room. Great! I don't use them anyway because it usually tastes yucky and how do you know it's clean. Instead, they offer free coffee in the lobby every morning til 11 am. They also have a free happy hour in the lobby in the evenings. The room had a ton of hangers and closet/storage space. On weekends, breakfast is served until NOON! Fabulous! Check out on Sunday was NOON! Love that! They have reverse osmosis water stations on every floor instead of giving you bottled water. The breakfast was from a menu, not a buffet, so my husband and I could share an order instead of paying for 2 buffets with a lot of food we wouldn't eat. I don't mind buffets but this was a nice change that I found I really liked. The staff were engaging and accommodating. The rooms were very comfortable and clean. The bathroom lights have dimmers, making the middle-of-the-night bathroom run(s) better without having to turn on a bright light. There was a mini fridge but it was a good-sized one with a glass front (I don't know why but just seems nicer). The bed was very comfortable and I slept better than I usually sleep in a hotel. They simply have done a great job of knowing the nice, smaller -- sometimes subtle -- touches that really make your stay better and more comfortable. I'm a fan!! It checked all the boxes for me and I will consider Kimpton hotels from now on when we travel.

Been here several times seeing family. Probably the best place in Ashville. Rooms are great, so is the location. What is special is the common areas one 1 side is the bar and on the opposite side is the restaurant District42. Many places to hang with family. Outdoor seating with really great fireplaces for crowd watching. There is a really cool guy working the front desk- barry. I never caught his last name but he made us feel welcome and special. Yes, i am going back in 2-3 months to see my -in -laws. I won't stay anywhere else

Barry made check-in smooth and welcoming, and Joseph, your personal kindness in coming out front to check in to greet us and help resolve concerns regarding the extra overnight room for family members who ultimately could not attend meant more than I can say. Your professionalism and care turned what could have been stressful into something completely handled with grace and warmth. What impressed us so much was the consistent attentiveness from the entire staff. The text communication system was incredible — checking in on us, answering questions quickly, and making us feel cared for every step of the way. It felt personal, thoughtful, and seamless. Our breakfast experience was absolutely outstanding. Erin, our waitress, was remarkably experienced, charming, and genuinely engaging. Not only was the food exceptional, but she gave us wonderful insider tips for Asheville as well as our next stop in Charleston. She made the entire morning memorable. And the accommodations themselves — simply divine. The bedding was luxurious beyond words: beautiful high-end sheets, cloud-like mattresses with the perfect balance of softness and support, and a room that felt peaceful and elegant in every detail. The towels, shampoos, scents, and room ambience were all so carefully curated and delightful. Then there was the view. Looking out at the Blue Ridge Mountains through the floor-to-ceiling windows created such a calming and magical atmosphere. It truly elevated the entire stay and allowed us to fully enjoy the beauty of Asheville. I honestly cannot say enough wonderful things about our time at Hotel Arras. Every detail reflected care, hospitality, comfort, and excellence. The Kimpton is Asheville is a must stay! We loved the downtown location and our mountain view/sunset room was fantastic! Staff was helpful and friendly. Valet parking only but it was not overly expensive. Our room was beautiful and clean and the bed was very comfortable. We loved being able to walk to get coffee the next morning. Highly recommend!
