Chestnut Meadow Camping

A lovely well kept, peaceful site. We had a relaxing short break, 2 nights, in a beautiful & very clean lodge with a hot tub & everything we needed to make our stay very enjoyable. Will definitely be back again.

A really good house for 5 people. Family friendly and countryside surroundings. Helpful staff in the reception. The jacuzzi in the garden is awesome. We appreciated the towel service (that we asked for) mid-stay. The kitchen is poorly equipped, so we had dinner in restaurants. There were partying noise from the other houses during two nights.

We have just returned from a short break at Chestnut Meadow Country Park. We had a fantastic time! The lodges, inside and out were immaculate! The facilities on site are brilliant and the location is perfect for getting out and visiting the local area. We had everything we needed at the lodge and although we had a welcome pack of tea, coffee, cleaning items etc, there are plenty of convenience stores and supermarkets close by to allow you to fully stock up. The beds are comfortable nicely presented. There was a large freestanding bath in one bathroom and a shower in the main bedroom en-suite. Both bathroom we spotless! The surrounding area and park is so peaceful and quiet. I cant fault the value for money, the price is more than reasonable. Communication with the staff is so easy. Mostly done via text message which makes asking/ answering queries so easy and quick. We cant wait to book again!

We went with a group of us across e3 lodges. They were the nicest lodges and so spacious inside and out. So much room and so private also. Simon was outstanding with his communication and ease of helping sort the lodges together and late check out etc. cant wait to return !

We have just come home from a lovely weeks camping and this site is one of the best we’ve stayed at. From the beginning we got welcome emails and texts with relevant information we needed and the staff were welcoming and accommodating throughout, it wasn’t too busy when we went but it was nice to see more people come just before we left and hear young children playing (mine are all grown up now!) The shower and toilets were cleaned regularly and the under cover washing up area was spread out and the actual pitches for tents were very generous and we made it our home for the week. We have already booked again for next year and can’t wait to go although me and my daughter are going back next month to stay in one of their pods for 4 nights which will be nice and will also be much cooler because it’s in the shade as the weather we’ve just had now was very hot 🥵 I would definitely recommend this site plus there is also WiFi on site which is a bonus!!

A 4 night break in a lodge, good value, comfortable and clean. Beds and sofas looked and felt new...much appreciated! In other places they can be well saggy and past their best! Only visited reception once, Simon very helpful. Location great for access to the best coastal experiences that East Sussex can offer.

Great location but facilities just not clean enough . By 9am showers were filthy grass everywhere.. nothing to clean shower floor out with . It would be better if floor mops were supplied & visitors encouraged to be courteous & leave facilities as clean as possible for the next person. Regular general cleans should be in place . The washing up area was also filthy .. left over food everywhere blocking sinks & on side drainers which are not practical for cleaning when made of garden slab material. This is disappointing as the actual location was lovely & a beautifully clean shop ! On site Caribbean food was also great thanks to Chef Fish !

From entering the well maintained entrance into the site, you can see that this is a well cared for holiday complex. The lodges are stunning, spotlessly clean, so comfortable , with the added extra of a hot tub. Would return at a heartbeat.

We have just returned from 5 nights camping at Chestnut Meadow and we have had a fabulous time. The campsite was so quiet which was lovely. Great shop and play area for the children. One negative was that the showers really need a good clean out every day and they just didn’t get it. This was even more apparent as the site became quieter. The drains were also blocked, this meant the showers filled with water (and grass/other peoples hair etc) when you are trying to wash. We hope to return next year as the pitch sizes are really big.
