CLLIX Brisbane Skytower Apartments

This hotel apartment was better than I expected. It was clean, and we were given a room directly facing the river with an excellent view, and you could even see the sea in the distance. It was well-equipped with cutlery, cooking utensils, a stove, oven, microwave, and washing machine. If I had to suggest an improvement, it would be to add another oven mitt. Only the top shower head worked well; the other one seemed broken as its angle couldn't be adjusted at all. The location was also excellent, with plenty of food options nearby.

The hotel's location and views are excellent; however, we found bloodstains on the sheets, the shower pressure was very weak, and the hot water was not very consistent.

The location is convenient, just a 5-minute walk to the city center. It has cooking facilities, making it suitable for family trips.

Traveling as a family of four, this hotel apartment was perfect for us. Having two bedrooms and two bathrooms was so convenient, and the living room was quite spacious. The cleanliness was generally good, though the carpet was a bit dirty. The views were beautiful, and the hotel's location was excellent, making it easy to get around. The underground parking took some getting used to; it felt a bit disorganized, and we could only park in designated spots with the hotel's logo, which were quite small. After parking, finding the elevator was a challenge as many areas were cordoned off, seemingly due to ongoing construction. However, overall, it was still a great stay. The 24-hour front desk made our late-night check-in very smooth, and the staff were all very nice.

I was really looking forward to staying in Brisbane's tallest apartment building, hoping for panoramic views of the city. Instead, I got a low-floor room on the 20th level, room 09, which faced directly onto another residential building. It had nothing going for it, totally ruined my mood, and I even forgot to take photos. Remember, rooms 01 and 16 have the best orientation, while 08 and 09 are the worst. Keep that in mind if you plan to stay here. The room size was decent, but there's no room service. That's about it.

Excellent location! This apartment is superb, conveniently located near Queen Street and the Botanic Gardens, and within walking distance to South Bank. The room was clean and spacious, equipped with a washer and dryer, and a very well-appointed kitchen. They even provided two cleaning tabs for both dishwasher and hand washing (you can ask the front desk for more). A minor letdown was the absence of salt and pepper, which usually comes standard in self-catering apartments. Other minor issues were slow internet and significant limescale buildup in the kettle. However, overall, it offers great value for money. Contrary to some other reviews, there *is* a cleaning service; they do a light clean every 5 days, replenishing fresh towels, plastic bags, laundry sheets, and dishwashing tabs.

This was an absolutely terrible stay, and I would neither choose this hotel again nor recommend it to other travelers. Firstly, the room layout was extremely poor: ventilation was bad, there was a noticeable odor in the room, and one of the bedrooms had no windows. Secondly, the facilities were inadequate: one bedroom had a bedside lamp, but there was no power outlet beneath it, rendering it unusable. The range hood was ineffective and couldn't handle even basic meal preparation. The washing machine was also almost unusable, frequently alarming for no reason and displaying a 'no water' message. Thirdly, there were potential safety hazards: due to the poor performance of the range hood, simply pan-frying a steak triggered the smoke alarm. After the alarm sounded, no hotel staff contacted us, checked on the situation, or offered any assistance, which presents a serious potential safety risk. Furthermore, the hygiene conditions were very poor: the hallway carpets were dirty, and there was always clutter piled up outside our door, which was unsightly and obstructed passage. Finally, and most unacceptably, on our second day, a serious incident occurred at the hotel: someone fell from a high floor and landed directly below our room window. We were dining in the living room at the time, and the scene of the incident and subsequent handling were directly below our balcony, fully visible to us. This caused us immense psychological shock and discomfort. We immediately reported it to the hotel, but they offered almost no concern, explanation, or proactive assistance. In summary, this was a truly dreadful experience.
