The most amazing boutique hotel we have stayed in. Everything from start to finish was second to none. The staff were attentive and efficient and nothing was too much trouble. No expense had been spared in the renovation of this beautiful old mansion and the contemporary fit out and lighting quite unique. The food was delicious in the distillery and breakfast also with a very personable waitress. We will return.

This is hotel is in lovely surroundings and only a short distance from the town itself. It is expensive for the value of the rooms. I was surprised to find that we could not choose the aircon temperature. It is universally set by the hotel.

An absolute pleasure to spend one night in this fantastic hotel. Opened three years ago after a four year refurbishment the quality of the building, spectacular reception area, public rooms, and lovely bedrooms is exceptional. Attention to detail in design and execution is outstanding, with particular commendation for the inlaid wooden doors and cabinetry in the comfortable bedrooms. Reception staff charming, bags taken from car to room and car valet parked, and returned in anticipation of our leaving on morning of departure. Breakfast was a delight, high quality and served on the shaded terrace, probably the best breakfast I have had in France. Unfortunately for us the Michelin star restaurant, Names, was closed but we ate in the separate brasserie in the grounds, separate review details the top notch experience we had. I have no qualms in unequivocally recommending this property, it really is outstanding.

This is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at. The attention to detail and service level are outstanding. The hotel has only been open 3 years and the build out makes you feel like you are staying at the home of someone who cares deeply about art, luxury and beauty. The grounds are stunning. Can you tell how much like this place? We ate at the bistro and the food was perfect and delicious. Don’t miss the chance to stay at this gem of a hotel.

From the moment we arrived, it was clear this hotel has been decorated and furnished to an exceptionally high standard. The quality of the internal design is among the finest I have encountered, with a real attention to detail that creates an atmosphere of refinement and comfort throughout. The rooms themselves were incredible — luxurious, spacious, and beautifully maintained, making our stay both relaxing and memorable. The food was also excellent, with the same meticulous care evident not only in the flavours and presentation but also in the settings where meals were enjoyed. Dining here felt like a real occasion, combining high culinary standards with elegant surroundings. The property as a whole is exceptionally well looked after. The gardens are magnificent, clearly tended with the same pride and precision as the interiors. They provide a wonderful backdrop for a stroll or simply a moment of quiet enjoyment. What really elevated our experience, however, was the staff. Every member we encountered was genuinely warm, attentive, and went out of their way to help, adding a personal touch that made the stay truly special. This is a hotel where excellence in every detail is the rule, not the exception.

We spent 3 nights at the hotel and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Relatively new, and therefore, it feels like a fresh and modern hotel, but with traditional French charm. Set in beautifully maintained gardens, it offers the discerning traveller a true oasis of calm. The head chef of Notes was on hand to ensure that specific dietary needs were met, which was excellent. However, our experience in the Brasserie restaurant was not so positive. Apart from that all staff were incredibly friendly and helpful and offered genuine 5-star service. About a 30-minute walk from Cognac, so bring some walking shoes. Would highly recommend. Thank you 👌

Words fail me to adequately describe how beautiful this hotel is. The renovation has been done in the most exquisite way making everything of the original features and the gardens and pool are just lovely. We always stay in relais and chateau but this hotel must rank as one of their absolute best. We had supper in the brasserie restaurant and all the staff were very attentive and charming and the food very delicious. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. Special mention to front of house in reception Antoine who was amazingly helpful. Can’t wait to return.
