Lone Fir Resort

My wife and I stayed in cabin 10 for 2 nights. We both thoroughly enjoyed our stay and wished we could stay longer. Relaxation in a beautiful setting. The cabin was perfect and contained everything we would need for an extended stay. A longer return trip is already planned.

CLOSED for the season. They did not charge off season rates. The resort was completely empty. We were the only ones there. The restaurant was closed also. We are new to the area and were not informed the resort was closed. Also, there was a large, dead bug hanging from the corner on a cobweb. When we used the shower, a large red glob of something nasty came out of the soap dispenser. Soapless showers not fun. I contacted property to address my concerns privately, but did not receive a response, so, clearly they are not interested in fixing things.

Very large 3 room apartment, quaint, quiet, and excellently appointed. Onsite manager was very nice and very helpful in pointing out places of interest (he was also an excellent cook and laid out/ prepared a wonderful. One of the very best places we’ve had the pleasure of staying in

This place is so cute! It has a nice little gift shop too and the food at the restaurant was great. Wish we were staying more than one night.

I love this place! I stayed at Lone Fir Resort for one night - I wish I stayed much longer, and will next time. I had a standard room (3C). It was cozy, but spacious for a basic room and spotlessly clean. The bed was quite comfortable, and topped with a lovely quilt. I'd describe the decor as 'tasteful lodge' with clear attention to detail. My bathroom had white subway tile, thick towels, and Beekman 1802 bath products. So much care and thought has clearly gone into outfitting the rooms! My room even had had wall-mounted AC. The staff members were super friendly and helpful. My group played horseshoes, shopped at the awesome gift shop, had delicious pizza, fries and hamburgers at Bigfoot's Lodge (seasonal dining with vegan options - yay!), played games in the clubhouse, explored to see if we could find all the cabins, and then drove to see Mount Saint Helens and the Ape Caves. We also spent some time skipping rocks at beautiful Yale Lake across the road from the resort. I give it five stars all the way!

Nickle and dime for a subpar time Overall our stay was not great. When we got there the room was very musty and had an unpleasant odor. The room was okay but definitely wasn’t in line with the price we paid for it. The linens had a strong fabric softener scent and the coffee pot had old coffee grinds in it. The thing that especially made our stay not pleasant was feeling nickle and dimed every step of the way. We had to pay $25 since we came out of town and checked in after 9pm, which just included putting our key in an envelope. In the restaurant we met a friend for lunch and had to pay an $.80 fee to split the check—which was just annoying. WiFi was included in our stay but it was shut off the morning we checked out, which was incredibly inconvenient as there is no cell service so we couldn’t do simple things like use GPS to begin navigation home or be in contact with our kids. Our friends had the issue of their WiFi being shut off the night before.

Room was clean. Bunk beds a bit small for an adult (I am 5’6”) but comfortable. A great place to stay when hiking My St Helens.

Cabin was exactly as advertised, tv was a but of a challenge to navigate. Loved the thickness of bath towels. Cafe was great and waitress/cook had a very positive attitude

Great for the entire Fam! The food offered at the restaurant was delicious. We ordered the chocolate chip pancakes for our daughter, the breakfast sandwich, and the chicken fried steak. We loved being able to order and bring it back to our cabin. The pool, club house, and gift shop were great. My daughter enjoyed panning for gems from the mining bags sold there. She also really enjoyed the layout of Cabin 13. The bunk beds were tucked away so she felt like she had her own little nook. Being 30 minutes from the Ape Caves and Trail of Two Forests was convenient. We definitely recommend staying here whether you pitch a tent, hook up your RV, or rent a cabin.
