Fairfield Inn & Suites Detroit Lakes

We stopped in Detroit Lakes for the trolls and this hotel is located right next to Alexa’s Elixer! Clean and situated on a lake and next to a park, we liked everything about the hotel.

The Fairfield Inn and Suites in Detroit Lakes is a very nice hotel. It's located very close to the water. We arrived shortly before 11 am on the 4th of July. We were planning to leave our bags at the front desk and come back later to get keys to our room. The lady who was working the front desk checked the computer and found that a room was available at that time, and we were able to get into our room. They were very pleasant and it made things much easier and relaxing for us. The room was nice. It was a king size room. The bed wasn't too bad--but my wife felt it was a bit on the hard side. The pillows were a bit on the soft side--in my opinion. We didn't hear a lot of noise from the halls. They have signs by the elevator saying quiet hours start at 10pm, which was nice. The breakfast was pretty good. It's served from 6-9a Monday through Friday and 7-10a Saturday and Sunday. We left Tuesday morning, so getting down by 9:00 on a weekday for something to eat was a little rushed. Hub 41 is located right next door. It's a bar and restaurant with great food and drinks. If you want to try a tasty drink, order the Hub Bulldog. By showing your hotel key you get a 10% discount. There's a small swimming pool, but we didn't try it out as we didn't have a lot of time. I would highly recommend staying at the Fairfield Inn and Suites in Detroit Lakes. I have not issues with going back again.

Friendly staff, delicious free breakfast, clean rooms, comfortable mattress, location near lake and restaurants within walking distance. Good value.

We stay here at least 3 times a year when visiting family - Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter for sure plus other special occasions. They are located within walking distance to several restaurants, pubs, Clarity wine Bar and they are located right across from the lake. A great place to stay, they serve a great breakfast and they have a snack area with sodas, frozen food, and other things you may need or forgot to bring

Very clean and modern hotel and the staff was exceptional. My daughter became sick during our stay so was confined to the room and when I mentioned it to the front desk she said to let her know if we need anything at all and they would make her comfortable. Exactly the staff I look for in a hotel

The room was lovely, our favorite people were working! Our only issue was the pool was freezing! It's never been cold before.

We didn’t make breakfast any of the mornings so I can’t say. Our only issue was the parking lot - ice in almost every parking spot. We couldn’t use any of the handicap spots as there was ice in all of them. My husband uses a cane so i had to drive around in order to find a spot that he or myself could get out safely. Most spots were not close enough so I had to drop him off at the front door and pick him back up at the front door upon leaving. Other than the ice we were quite happy with our stay.

The hotel and our room were clean and comfortable. The ladies working the breakfast buffet were so nice. My only negatives are the tiny pool and no hot tub. Otherwise it’s a great place to stay and close to restaurants and the lake.

The room was clean, comfortable and very quiet! The staff were all very friendly, polite and very helpful. We travel to Detroit Lakes a lot and we love to stay at the Fairview whenever we can. It’s right across from one of the lakes there and there are several restaurants within walking distance.
