Home2 Suites by Hilton Logansport

This hotel deserves a much higher rating. We stayed here in July and enjoyed a spacious, comfortable, quiet room. There is ample counter space, full refrigerator, additional sink outside the bathroom, and comfortable bed. The breakfast is quite adequate and whole hotel is very clean.

I give it an extra star because the staff is very nice. However, the General Manager is rude and horrible. I have stayed at this hotel on numerous occasions and at times I need to use my room for virtual appointments. They never have availability for late check out even if you are a Hilton Honors Diamond member. We have asked on numerous occasions and have always been told "no we have a lot of checkins so we cannot give you a late check out." We have even been willing to pay for late check out but that option was never given to us. We couldn't even plan ahead because their policy is that you cannot request a late check out until the night before. We asked the night before, only to be told to ask the "morning of". How can one plan work especially if there are virtual business appointments that can run overtime? On our last stay I was on a virtual call and I knew that check out was a 11:00 am. At about 11:03 I received a knock on the door and it was the general manager who firmly stated in my face in a very condescending manner, "You need to be out of here!" I was frazzled as I was trying to wrap up my call and get out of there the best I could. Of note, the breakfast is always old food -- the same stale biscuits are put there all week long and the egg bites taste like compressed saw dust. Seriously they keep putting out the same recycled food every morning. During the afternoon the hot water for tea is luke warm.

Breakfast was good. There is however a lot of trash around the parking lot area, but inside the hotel was nice and clean.

Nice place to stay. Was pleasantly surprised to have a large refrigerator, microwave, and even a dishwasher in my room. Definitely recommend staying here!

Pros: I liked the breakfast unlike other reviewers. If you have stayed at other Home2Suites I think it is on par. I stayed 3 nights and varied my options so I had different breakfast each morning, Belgian waffle, oatmeal, cereal, yogurt, fried egg, ceramic plates and stainless steel silverware was nice, and got myself to-go coffee each morning, free parking, gym was nice - I used peloton bike and free weights, nice walk in shower, though the placement of the toilet, bathroom door and shower door made it cramped Cons: Noise, overall, did not seem like sound insulation was good, my first room was on the side facing Walmart and I could hear footsteps from the occupant above me. Fortunately, front desk was able to move me to highest floor on the side away from Walmart and I had quiet sleep all 3 nights I was there. I was placed in corner room and I don't think I had a neighbor next to me the whole trip, so I can't speak to insulation between adjacent rooms. Overall, I would consider coming back, but would be concerned about making sure I got a quiet room.

Rooms where cleaned, the breakfast could have been better.The pool was somewhat comfortable. Had problems with the washer and dryer, the washer took about 5 dollar of my money and the hotel did not offer to pay me back. I would stay there again if I had to

We always enjoy our stay here. The staff is friendly and the rooms are spacious and clean.
