Hotel the Match

I enjoyed the messaging of the hotel with the whole "check in, stay out" mentality where they encourage you to explore the city. Despite this, the living area on the ground floor had a lot of spacious seating and tables for those who did want to stay and work away or just chill. The grounds that the hotel has are a nice and private separation from the vibrant energy from the bars/restaurants nearby, which is nice since that meant noise heard in the room was less. The rooms were nice and had a good sofa bench area alongside the beds. The shower area is visible from the beds and is only partially translucent (still can see a lot though), so for people like friends/business partners who may want the privacy while showering may find this to be an issue. The toilet is in an enclosed powder room right at the front of the room, a closet, and a pole with circular metal trays which is what we used to place things. The service staff were really helpful, we had a few complications with how to assign the room but they managed to resolve it quickly. Luggage storage was a couple of self-service lockers near the elevator and were quite easy to use too.

I booked this hotel for my family. Location is the best, not too far from train station, many cafes and restaurants near by.

Great hotel and very convenient to the main centre. Parking is quite expensive as it’s €5 an hour and €30 for an overnight park. Apart from that great location and great amenities!

Perfect location in the city center to discover the city and have easy access to facilities such as restaurants, bars and the train station at walking distance. The room is spacious for a family of three and the separate shower and toilet is a convenience.

Due to road closures, the car park was very difficult to find, we first went to the hotel, and was then given a map to find the carpark. It wasn’t clear where the carpark intercom was to buzz in. They also charge €30 per day for parking. I wouldn’t recommend staying here if you have a car. However, it’s perfect if you’re travelling on foot. There’s no kettle in the room, but hot water is available in the reception/food area.

Got everything you need for a hotel if your planning on being out in the city for most of the time (like they suggest!) Great location right in the centre, 24/7 shop with Pizzas you can cook there and then which is a nice touch. Room was nice. Friendly helpful staff. Would definitely recommend!

It was good, the only thing we didnt like was bathroom cause it was transparent.
