Wingate by Wyndham St Louis-Fenton Route 66

The carpeting in the room was gross--practically shiny it was so dirty black. I had to use a soapy washcloth to clean the bottoms of my feet before putting on clean socks in the morning. The washcloth turned black. Gross! Plus, the room's ventilation system didn't work or wasn't designed to take the warm, humid air out of the room. The towels never dried and our clothes felt damp. Also, housekeeping never gave us a new set of towels to use on our second of two nights we stayed. We had to re-use those gross black washcloths. In addition, our room key kept not working. We had to go back downstairs from the third floor to the lobby three times each night to get them to re-program the card key to where it finally worked. Just an inconvenience to add to the awful dirtiness of the room. What a ghetto hotel. We won't be back.

I would use this hotel again I just needed a staycation by myself to get some R&R I needed to regroup and I was able to do just that

Service was good.  Room was nice and cold.  No bar soap in bathroom.  Beds were made.  Got in late so didn’t get to see much or use pool due to weather.  Would stay again.

Was over charged on my dog fee. They said they would fix.

Room was clean. Staff was very friendly. A/C and parking were fine. Lingering smoke smell throughout the building/room.

Breakfast was fine, staff was great. Cold air vent in our room was horrible- dust hanging off the vents.

The facility is quite old and is in need of of a major upgrade as well as an extensive remodel. They are fortunate to have an excellent staff who are both professional and personable.

Facility seemed dated but everything was kept up really well. Felt safe, was clean, I slept very comfortably.
