SpringHill Suites Gallup

The room was a great set up - loved that the "pull-out couch" was a day-bed and trundle situation. Tons of space and comfortable beds!  Very clean!  The middle of the night front desk guy, Rick, was super nice. The morning front desk people, the cleaning people, and also the woman in charge of breakfast were all very kind, too.  It was nice that the breakfast had a decent amount of choices and they included gluten free and some dairy free things, as well.  Very pleased with our stay.  Thank you!! 

Had a bad experience at this hotel. Not up to the Marriott standards. Tried to contact the manager with both phone calls and a very detailed e-mail. Left 3 messages at the front desk. Two weeks later someone else called and offered me some points back, 2000, that's equal to about $20. Extremely disappointing. We stayed for 2 nights, neither night had any working A/C in our room after being told it was fixed. It was a 95-degree weekend. Couldn't even open the window, they even sent someone to our room to try and get the A/C unit working 3 times and then to try and get the window open. Next day front desk clerk said the unit had been repaired. It had not. Miserable night, so hot it was hard to sleep. Desk clerk told me to contact the manager for a refund of some type. $20 bucks- WHAT AN INSULT.

This is our 3rd stay here. A mixed bag. It was okay? It's Gallup. I don't expect luxury in Gallup, but this is a new build hotel, not a remodel so I think it could do better. This is over a multiple-day stay. Pros: ~Good location close to highway and food ~The alternative Native girl at breakfast was sweet, asking everyone if they had everything they needed. Nicest person at the hotel. - Good supportive pillows, not just the feather squish ones ~ Bed was comfortable ~ Two different shower nozzles, one up top and lower body one Cons: ~Broken bottles ripped off the wall in the shower ~ No hot water midday in shower, only at night ~Stagnant-smelling rooms ~ Cleaners cleaned shared wall rooms loud keeping us awake mornings we tried to sleep in. ~ Bed wasn't made on arrival. I had to look back through my pictures on here. This is the only time it's happened to me I can recall. ~Breakfast low quality. Stuff was cold in the warm plates at 7am. No cream cheese for bagels. Older woman hovering around, what's the point of hovering around us if your food is cold. - Loud. Lots of trains. Would happen at any hotels right here.

Very much outside noise. We booked the two bed suite with couch trundle, mattress was stained. We will stick to another location instead.

The disappointment was great in many ways. The biggest problem is the noise issue. The train sound was relatively loud, disturbing my sleep, and the AC unit's sound was loud, but the bigger problem was that the wind kept blowing, making it difficult. No matter how much I tried to turn it off with temperature control and various methods, the wind kept coming out.

Front desk staff was very friendly and welcoming. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Elevator was not functioning properly and scared me. It made a huge clunk noise when it landed on 4th floor. I called front desk and was told they knew it was acting up and just had a hard stop on top. Not acceptable. AC temperature wouldn’t adjust so they must have a set temperature no matter what we changed it to. Didn’t sleep good at all.

Room was clean, a friendly staffs, and clean lobby. I saw the swimming was nice and clean. Thanks for good service and hospitality.
