I will start with the positive aspects of our stay. The location deserves 5 stars—it is right on the beach, and the hotel has swimming pools and a beach bar. The food was very good, in my opinion, with one exception: watermelon, which I really like, was not available. The room was quite clean, the towels were changed every day, and we received a new bottle of water daily. The service in the main restaurant was also good. Now, for the less positive aspects. The room was quite small for a 5-star hotel. The bathroom did not have any ventilation, and when I asked about it at the reception, the receptionist gave me an unreasonable explanation. The gym is very small and has only basic, semi-professional equipment, making it difficult to have a proper workout. Finally, the à la carte restaurant, "The Fish," had waiters who could barely speak English, and the food was inedible.

Located at the entrance to the Golden Sands resort complex, it occupies a vast, well-maintained, and secure private estate featuring its own beach and an array of exceptional amenities.

The hotel is located right on the beach, which is a big plus. There is also a sauna and heated interior pool in the hotel. The food and drinks from the bar are good, and we enjoyed that part of our stay. However, the room itself feels more like a 3- or 3.5-star standard rather than a 5-star hotel. Soundproofing is also a issue, there is a lot of noise from the rooms upstairs and nearby, and you can hear almost everything through the walls.

We visited the hotel at the very end of the summer season in September therefore the hotel was pretty empty and we didn't have to wait a lot further more we had a very good price because of the date. We enjoyed the pools and the Sea the food at the a la card restaurant was mediocre, the buffet was pretty good. The service and the room were excellent, everyone was pretty nice and helpful and the room was clean.

HVD Riviera Beach – An experience well below 5-star expectations Unfortunately, our experience at HVD Riviera Beach fell significantly short of the expectations you would have for a hotel advertised as a 5-star property. In reality, it feels closer to a 3.5-star level, especially when compared to several 4-star hotels we have visited that were vastly superior. The room and the bathroom are dated and old-fashioned, and both cleanliness and maintenance leave much to be desired. The carpet was dirty, the pillows were of very poor, cheap quality, and the pillowcases did not even fit properly. The towels were old and very scratchy. Furthermore, during our 8-day stay, they were only changed once, and the bed linen was not changed at all. We also suffered from insect bites. At first, we blamed mosquitoes, but during the last two nights, we woke up with multiple bites on our backs and arms. We sincerely hope this was not an infestation issue. There were also technical issues that simply should not exist in a 5-star hotel: the water pressure/flow was faulty, and the bedside power outlets did not work. Another major downside was the attitude of the staff at the main pool bar (two bulgarians young men and a woman). They were visibly annoyed, arrogant, and bored, making us feel as if we were bothering them. This is definitely not the type of service you expect at a luxury resort. On the positive side, the garden is beautiful and the beach is quite nice. The restaurant staff was pleasant, smiling, and polite, which we appreciated. The food was generally good and reasonably varied. However, in 8 days, we were never served grilled meat—only baked dishes and various stews with heavy sauces. Additionally, the restaurant gets extremely crowded during the weekend, which compromises the dining experience. We also had a disappointing experience at the Fish Restaurant. We intended to have lunch there one day but left after seeing the menu. For a venue named "Fish Restaurant," we expected a wide selection of seafood. Instead, apart from a fish soup, the menu consisted of Bulgarian salad, burgers, and other dishes completely unrelated to a seafood concept. Galerry Restaurant, lovely, with friendly and welcoming staff. Conclusion: While the hotel has a few strong points—the garden, the beach, the overall food quality, and the restaurant staff—these do not compensate for the state of the rooms, the maintenance issues, the poor quality of amenities, and the poor attitude of certain staff members. For us, this experience does not reflect a 5-star standard. It is the first time we actually regret going on vacation, and we will not be returning. I know this may not sound very pleasant, but we genuinely feel that none of this was our fault. We came home extremely stressed and, instead of peacefully getting back to our daily lives and enjoying the relaxed feeling after our holiday, we have been spending our time dealing with pest control and “sacrificing” clothes that, unfo

Everything was great during our stay. The rooms were big, spacious, and kept very clean every day. The food was not very diversified, but it was really tasty and good. Both the pools and the beaches were excellent. We had a wonderful time and we will definitely return to this hotel with pleasure!
