The rooms offer views of Elephant Trunk Hill or the Twin Towers, and the night view is even more stunning. The Stargazing Bar is perfect for photos. The coffee is aromatic, breakfast is abundant, and you can even experience intangible cultural heritage crafts. It's truly worth it.

I booked the 180-degree view room, and the scenery outside the window was absolutely stunning. I could see the Sun and Moon Pagodas, Elephant Trunk Hill, and the continuous green mountains in the distance—a true ink-wash landscape painting.

The front desk for Upside Waterfall and the adjacent Waterfall Hotel are separate, though they are in the same building. Upside Waterfall occupies two floors. Let me start with the positives: the newly renovated rooms have excellent amenities and are quite spacious. The river view rooms offer a great view of Elephant Trunk Hill and the Twin Pagodas. The location is also very convenient, with Elephant Trunk Hill and Jingjiang Prince City about a 10-minute walk away. The 24-hour butler service is very responsive; they even sent us a video of the room type for confirmation before check-in and arranged all our requested room adjustments before we arrived. Throughout our stay, the staff were all very friendly and greeted us proactively. In addition to welcome fruits and a mini-bar, we also received small nuts as part of the turndown service. Now, for areas that could be improved: during our stay, we mostly ordered afternoon tea and in-room dining from the hotel. The in-room dining menu had very limited options, though fortunately, the rooftop restaurant allowed us to order there and have it delivered to our room. However, on the second day of our stay, during the National Day holiday with high foot traffic and rain, Upside Waterfall's own afternoon tea lounge had very limited indoor seating and was also open to the public. With only two staff members and one cleaner, it was severely understaffed. After inquiring, we learned that afternoon tea could not be delivered to the room, so we sat for a long time without being able to place an order or enjoy afternoon tea. Eventually, we had to call the adjacent Waterfall Hotel's afternoon tea lounge and restaurant ourselves to ask if they could deliver in-room dining. Only after their staff confirmed it was possible did we get our afternoon tea and dinner. During peak periods like National Day, especially since Upside Waterfall's restaurants are not large and are open to the public, I suggest proactively expanding their in-room dining service options to give guests more choices.

The location is excellent, right in front of Elephant Hill. Waking up in the morning and slowly drawing back the curtains to reveal a perfectly composed view of Elephant Hill right before your eyes is simply delightful. The hotel's breakfast is also very good, with a decent variety. There's a station for freshly cooked rice noodles and youtiao (fried dough sticks), and in the fruit and vegetable area, there's even a juicer where you can make your own fruit and vegetable juices. The service is warm, thoughtful, and responsive, always just right.

Nestled in the heart of the Two Rivers and Four Lakes Scenic Area, our room offered stunning views of the Sun and Moon Pagodas and Elephant Trunk Hill right from the bed. The facilities were brand new, and the breakfast spread was extensive. The rooftop garden provided panoramic views of the city and its surrounding mountains. Our butlers, Ms. Xu, Ms. Huang, and Mr. Peng, were incredibly warm, responsive, and always ready to help. I'll definitely be staying here again on my next visit.

As our last stop in Guilin, choosing this hotel was a surprisingly satisfying experience. The lady at the front desk saw that all three of us were adults and proactively upgraded us to a family room, which was very spacious and even included complimentary breakfast. We were already thrilled by then. When we checked out, it was raining a bit, and we were taking a taxi to the airport. The front desk lady even walked us out with an umbrella. The service was absolutely excellent, truly commendable! 👍

Absolutely, incredibly, super satisfied! I will recommend this place to all my friends and family countless times. The room was exceptionally clean, and the decor and furnishings were very tasteful. The moment I opened the door and saw the interior, I knew I had made a good choice; the style was just impeccable. My actual stay was full of pleasant surprises. The staff's attitude was also incredibly good (though there was one time I encountered a young man carrying a tray in the elevator who didn't give way to guests with children and rushed out, nearly bumping into my child). I think this is something to watch out for, but all the other staff members and ladies were excellent! They always smiled and greeted us. Additionally, the room type I booked offered views of Elephant Trunk Hill and one of the Sun and Moon Pagodas. The breakfast wasn't entirely to my taste, and some popular dishes weren't refilled promptly after running out, leaving fewer options for late-arriving guests (I'm not particularly keen on hotel breakfasts myself, so this didn't bother me too much). However, I do hope you can learn from these shortcomings and make improvements. Next time I visit Guilin, I'll definitely stay here again!

The hotel service was excellent, and the view from the window was beautiful, with a clear view of the pagoda and Elephant Trunk Hill in the distance. The location was also fantastic, just a few minutes' walk from both attractions! There were plenty of convenient dining options nearby as well.

The room offers an amazing view of the Two Rivers and Four Lakes, including the Twin Pagodas – truly breathtaking! The location is incredibly convenient for getting around, and the breakfast quality was excellent too.
