Hampton Inn Corydon

Badly in need of repairs. Started with the digital key not being available, which wasn’t a big deal. Then discovered the elevator wasn’t working which was more of an issue due to my wife having limited mobility, but we managed. We found that the wall thermostat didn’t work, but were able to use the controls on the wall unit. Decided to visit the pool shown on the map only to discover it hasn’t been open for a long time. Later that evening went to use the bathroom to discover water pouring through the ceiling from the room above. Tried to call the front desk only to discover the phone didn’t work. Called on my cell phone and talked to the nice young lady who told us that the only other room available was on the third floor. Fortunately that room was OK.

Terrible service I was told I was paying one rate and when I received the bill I was charged double. The manager said the rate I was told was a mistake and basically oh well too bad for me. Terrible customer service. She admitted the night clerk was new and didn’t know what she was doing: how that is my fault I don’t know: I have been staying in Hilton hotels for decades as a travel nurse and I am not done with all hiltons due to this horrible encounter.

Disappointing for Hampton Inn. No staff, limited service. Dim and worn room with mold in shower the bathroom. Disappointed n the 8.8 rating. It is not.

It was a nice day. I enjoyed every minute of it. Staff was wonderful. Always said something to you when you were walking down the hall. I would recommend this place for anyone.

Just some minor nitpicking here. The staff was fine. The toilet wouldn't stop running after flushing. There was no shampoo in the shower dispenser. The juice machine at the breakfast bar was broken. Other than that, it was OK.

Availability of laundry room and fitness room were important to me. Many restaurants in walking distance. Superb room. Rapid check in and out. Very accommodating to duration of stay.

Room was clean. Breakfast was great and staff very friendly. Good place to stay. We stayed two days.

Desk clerk (Maddy, I think?) was a breath of fresh air in a cold travel day. After a week in a Manhattan hotel, the room looks gigantic. Always great to have hot coffee waiting in the lobby.
