Metro Hotel Marlow Sydney Central

Great location—the hotel is right in the heart of Sydney, making it easy to walk to most activities and museums! It's surrounded by plenty of restaurants, and the neighborhood is lively at night. That said, the room is fairly basic, but it was clean, and the daily housekeeping was fantastic! Highly recommend.

I'd give the overall experience an 80 out of 100. Everything was pretty good, but since it's in a relatively expensive area of Sydney, it's hard to expect much more for this price point. The location is excellent, it's clean and hygienic, the service is attentive, but the room is a bit small.

The hotel facilities are a bit old, probably comparable to a budget hotel in China. However, the front desk service is excellent, and the location is very central, making it walkable to everywhere.

Extremely convenient! It's about a 10-minute walk from Central Station, which is also where many tour groups meet. The room was very clean and bright, with enough space for two large suitcases. It's also close to Market City, so you can easily buy souvenirs.

Very close to Sydney Central, just two blocks away, about a three-minute walk. The lobby is on the ground floor. It's quite clean, and the front desk service is excellent. There's a $100 deposit. The only downside is that the decor colors are a bit dated. For the same price, it's cleaner than the nearby Ibis Central, with large, bright windows.

The hotel's biggest advantages are its proximity to the Central Station and Chinatown. The room was quite small, and the beds even smaller; the twin beds were only 80 cm wide, which my child pointed out was even narrower than their 90 cm dorm bed. Luckily, they were movable, so I pushed my bed against the wall, otherwise, I felt like I'd roll off in my sleep 😑. The hygiene was good, but no one cleans the room daily unless you specifically request it at the front desk! The bathroom had an old-fashioned bathtub with a fixed showerhead, and the sink was also tiny. Another highlight was the Japanese restaurant right outside the hotel; their oysters were absolutely delicious, so much so that I went there almost every day 🥰.
