Empire Hotel Kowloon－Tsim Sha Tsui

Space is at a premium in Hong Kong, so hotel rooms are generally on the smaller side. I didn't have high expectations this time, but thanks to the front desk, we got a complimentary upgrade from the standard room. The room was clean, and the bed was very comfortable. The hotel is in a great location on Kimberley Road, with plenty of restaurants and convenience stores right downstairs, and getting around was super easy.

The hotel is in a great location, quite close to the MTR station. Looking out the window, you get a view of Victoria Harbour, and there are plenty of great dining options nearby. Breakfast was varied and delicious. The only downside was that the shower drain was very slow, so water pooled around my feet while showering. Overall, it still offers great value for money.

Hong Kong is truly retro! 😂 The streets are just like mainland China in the last century. I'd still recommend the hotel; they upgraded my room for free, and there are lots of food options nearby. It's only tens of meters away from Xianglan. The hotel's afternoon tea sesame paste was delicious. Most of the guests were mainland tourists, so everyone can feel comfortable visiting Hong Kong.

The hotel's location is truly excellent; it's close to everything. There are many restaurants nearby, including the famous 'Wah So Bing Sutt' (Wah So Cafe). The service attitude is also good, and they offer free luggage storage. The room also came with a free universal adapter.

To make it easier to choose a Tsim Sha Tsui hotel, the staff's service attitude was quite good. I'd stayed here before and thought the location was decent. This time I booked a family room and found it just okay. The hotel facilities are quite old, and the room is small. The breakfast is also monotonous, always the same ingredients. All of that is tolerable, but the main issue is that the bed is too old and run-down. A bed isn't that expensive, the hotel really needs an upgrade. It's too old and uncomfortable.

The hotel is a 10-15 minute walk from Tsim Sha Tsui MTR station. For Hong Kong, the room size was quite generous. I stayed for two nights and didn't experience any of the bed bug issues mentioned in some online reviews. Check-in and check-out were both very convenient. The staff were polite and enthusiastic. The breakfast offered a good variety of both Western and Chinese options.

The location is superb, with many restaurants and supermarkets downstairs. It's also very close to Victoria Harbour, which you can see from the room through the window. I've stayed here many times already and look forward to my next visit.

Kicking off my Hong Kong trip 🔛 After looking at so many options, I finally booked this place. The room is quite spacious, and the view of Victoria Harbour from the floor-to-ceiling windows is really nice. The soundproofing is also good. All in all, a great experience!
