ibis Budget La Rochelle Centre Gare

Surprisingly nice, clean and comfortable bed. Breakfast was good. Swimming pool great. Warm welcoming and welcome smoothie, these seemingly small things make a difference.

When we arrived at this hotel, was given a room ,it was so small! we booked for 4 nights,so asked for a bigger one that night.they was fully booked but next day they gave as a bigger one with balcony which we had to pay for but didn't mind. that was a much nicer room but it come with breakfast ,no choice to op out but breakfast was not worth the money!bowl of cornflakes and a bit of bread and cup coffee ,they should offer room with out breakfast. They had a pool which was cold but lovely 😍 the hotel looks like it not been finished properly! the ceiling in the room are left like concrete. the walk to main activities is 15 minutes. my advise is the hotels cheap but go for a bigger room enjoy the pool skip breakfast and enjoy la rochelle.

I stayed at the Ibis Budget La Rochelle back in May 2025 and was pleasantly surprised by how much it offered for the price. The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming, which made check-in and the overall stay really enjoyable. The rooms are clean, modern, and basic — exactly what you’d expect from a budget hotel, but well maintained and comfortable. I especially liked the bar and chill-out area, which had a relaxed vibe and even showed live sports — perfect for unwinding in the evening. The pool area was another highlight, really well kept and a great spot to relax after exploring the city. The location is decent — a bit of a walk to the main attractions, but no more than 10 minutes to most places, so still very convenient. Overall, this is a great budget hotel with everything you need for a short stay in La Rochelle. I’ll definitely be returning on my next visit!

The staff was super nice and kind. The area is proper to get to the city centre of La Rochelle making everywhere walkable.
