Room was clean and well kitted, restaurant was expensive for the type of food, breakfast was excellent. Bar had to be reopened for us, first time this year by the look of it. Swimming pool very small. Nice location Toilet flush stopped working, took two attempts to get it sorted. Overall very expensive for what was offered, but I guess that’s the il-de-re

There are three hotels scattered across the street. They appear to be owned by the same management but do not physically connect. The main reception is in the Hotel Elégance which has one of the small pools. Down the road there are some rooms, which appear to be a bit larger and more modern but these have no direct access to hotel facilities. There is no pool here so residents have to walk to the Elégance or cross the road to the Plaisir. The Plaisir houses a further two small pools, one heated, one not, and the breakfast/restaurant area. The rooms at the Plaisir are small and basic, with limited cupboard space for clothes and a small shower room. The TVs in the Plaisir only have French and some German channels, which might be an issue if it rains and the kids want to watch some TV. Intercommunicating rooms appear to be available for families but check that your kids’ rooms are in the same complex as it might be hard to change in busy periods. The Hotel Ile de Re is a bit further down the road, opposite the campsite. Because the properties are scattered, it does not feel like a unified hotel, but it was quiet and relaxed. Overall, it was fine as a base from which to explore this very pretty island, and the staff were pleasant and helpful. It is very close to the lovely Le Bois-Plage beach and about 15 mins walk to the Le Bois-Plage centre, with a market, bakeries, supermarket, some other shops and a few restaurants. There is also a Navette stop close by for free bus rides to the gorgeous St Martin and La Flotte and other parts of the Island.

We have stayed at this hotel for four times in the past ten years. Over the years, the cleanliness and quality has steadily declined, which is why I now feel obliged to write an evaluation. We had rented the "freshly renovated villa" for a price of ~400€ per night. Now it is a matter of definition what "freshly renovated" means, but apparently nothing has been renovated there in the last few years (or even decades). The bathroom, the toilet, the kitchen including the electrical appliances, everything was old and in a very unkempt condition. The wallpaper was peeling off the walls in the hallway, the smoke detectors didn't work, and the couch in the living room was so dirty and stained that we didn't want to use it. There were footprints on the walls, the furniture, towels, plates, cups, cutlery - everything was dirty. In general, it gave the impression that no one was taking care of the maintenance of the hotel. We have complained about this several times at the reception, but no compensation was provided, nor were we offered a discount. The location of the hotel is excellent, but for us it is no longer an option for future stays.

Chambre classique réservée mais des aménagements avaient été faits. Le plus : une petite kitchenette qui nous a bien été utile lors des repas du midi car l'hôtel est très proche de la plage du o*pas des bœufs. Les moins : des finitions à prévoir (passage de la sdb avec ancien bâti de porte visible) porte de sdb de type usine qui coulisse pour rien sur le rail (réveils nocturnes) et compteur électrique (chambre 16) qui gênait ma femme dans son sommeil. Pour autant, après 3 visites, l'hôtel est quasi parfait et idéal pour profiter de la plage sans avoir les inconvénients du trajet. Petits déjeuners copieux et variés. Bonne saison

Chambre et salle de bain avec une surface respectable, bien tenu, dotée d’une terrasse privative sans vis-à-vis. Petit déjeuner copieux et gourmand. Concernant le dîne, les assiettes sont généreux bien présentées avec des produits frais, le service est à la hauteur, le personnel est toujours prévenant et souriant. Très belle et bonne expérience. Je recommande.

Hotel bien situé proche de la plage. Places de parking pour chaque chambre. Cadre agréable. Petit déjeuner copieux et varié. Restaurant pas au niveau du tarif, mais correct. Petite chambre, mais Salle de douche exigue, et mal entretenue.

UN hotel intimiste calme et reposant, les chambres sont faites un peu comme des petites maisons individuelles. Le joli cadre verdoyant est propice à la relaxation. Le personnel très charmant et accueillant! Un délicieux petit déjeuner et le plus du petit déjeune des confitures artisanales de l'ile de Ré qui sont absolument délicieuses! Le spa est sous réservation ce qui permet d'être seul ou quasiment seul puisque nous n'étions que 2 couples, ce qui nous a permis d'être au calme, un pur moment de détente, d'ailleurs le maitre mot de cet établissement c'est sérénité!
