Leonardo Oranje Hotel Leeuwarden

The location is excellent, right across from the train and bus stations. There are two Albert Heijn convenience stores nearby: one at the train station, which closes later but is more expensive, and another by the river, which closes earlier but is cheaper. There are also plenty of restaurants in the vicinity, including options for Asian food. To my surprise, the room came with two complimentary bottles of water, which was a first among the five hotels I've stayed at in the Netherlands. The room also had air conditioning and a mini-fridge, allowing me to store drinks and food. My room had a window that overlooked a large wall painted with a street scene. I didn't mind this at all, as it prevented too much sunlight from entering the room, which is perfect for Asians who prefer less direct sun. My friend's room faced the street towards the train station and had a balcony, which was very open and bright, but not for me. There's one minor drawback regarding the facilities: the shower design in the bathroom is similar to other Dutch hotels and quite odd. The shower screen is adjustable but doesn't seal completely, causing water to spill all over the bathroom floor when showering. I ended up buying some plastic bags and tape from Albert Heijn to seal the gaps myself, which solved the problem. Honestly, they could easily fix this by simply replacing it with a shower curtain. Overall, I'm very satisfied and would choose this hotel again on my next visit.

I highly recommend this hotel. It's centrally located in the city with parking available on-site. The staff are very friendly and helpful, and the breakfast is good and plentiful. Definitely a recommendation!

Was great... everything was as it should be, all good and in order.

No heating! My partner and I came here to relax, and we spent the entire night either warming ourselves with a bathroom hairdryer or soaking in a hot bath. When we called reception, they told us, "Oh yes, sorry, that's correct, we're having a technical issue."

Easy-to-find hotel with parking available under the building. It's located opposite the train station, right on the edge of the city center, making it easily accessible and within walking distance of the charming and lively downtown area. The staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast on Sunday was quite busy, offering a comprehensive 'standard' selection.
