The hotel is beautiful and the rooms are cozy yet spacious. The views of the canals are stunning. I didn't want to leave!

The room was very clean and nice. Had a mini fridge which is a plus! WiFi was a bit spotty at times and went in and out. No big deal on that. The restaurant was amazing. Food was great. All the people there were super nice!! Hotel staff super nice as well. The rooms are actually the most soundproof I had have in a hotel. It was so quite that u don't even realize how busy it was downstairs and outside. They did have a bit of remodeling going on but the noise wasn't bad at all and didn't wake you. The shower and tub were clean and nice. Water pressure and temp was perfect. A real plus was the nice soft toilet paper they have. Non of that cheap commercial paper that is thin and rough as sandpaper. Has to be on of the best hotels I stayed at! Will stay here again next time I am traveling.

This hotel is located right in the heart of Leeuwarden and totally lives up to all the positive reviews. The reception was warm and welcoming. Our room was spacious, the bed was big and comfy, and everything was ultra tidy. We had double windows facing the canal (a terrific view), and even though it’s in a lively area, the windows did a great job blocking out the sounds from the terrace located just outside of the hotel. In short, we slept really well. The parking garage is a short 5-minute walk from the hotel and is in every respect affordable. All in all, we absolutely loved our stay and won’t think twice about booking again should we visit Leeuwarden in the future. Highly recommended!

Excellent stay close to activities in Leeuwarden Wonderful hotel, friendly service, good food, all in the middle of Leeuwarden. We stayed in room #1, which had a view of a canal. The room was very spacious, bed was comfortable. The coffee maker and hot water kettle were much appreciated. Very spacious bathroom. All in all a wonderful stay and good value for the money.

This is a great hotel. The staff are very friendly and welcoming, and we felt they put 100% into the service. The breakfast was brilliant with choice from the menu and unlimited coffee. The eggs benedict in particular was very tasty. The room is stylish and spacious. If you stay in Leeuwarden, stay here!

Wonderful location in a beautiful historical building. Room was very comfortable and very silent, especially when realizing it is a real down-town location. Staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. Great breakfast, you can choose from the regular menu, including unlimited coffee/tea/juice, meaning no waste of a buffet where there are normally a lot of things you don’t like anyway.

Loved this hotel! The room was spacious, very clean and modern with a massive bathroom. The location was perfect, walking distance from everywhere in Leeuwarden we wanted to go to, and seconds walk from loads of bars and restaurants and shops (and overlooking the canal). There was also the Oldehove car park about 3 mins walk and the Zaailand car park about 5 mins walk (both 10 euro per day). The Zaailand had staff on duty what seemed all the time and so if you’re worried about leaving your car, go to Zaailand. The room was well sound proofed so we heard no noise at all, despite being very central. They had Rituals diffusers scattered around which made the whole place smell wonderful. The Fire cafe next door (where you collect your keys) had a great atmosphere and very friendly and helpful staff and we also had our breakfast here, which was nice. The only slight negatives (am only adding so you have a full picture) is that the rooms were up 2 very steep flights of stairs and there is no lift. It was a bit hair raising with our big suitcase. So if you have walking difficulties this is probably not the place for you. Also the bathrooms are wet rooms and the way it’s set out the toilet area gets wet if you have a shower (which I hate!) Lastly the staff all belong to the Fire cafe next door and consequently there are no staff on site after closing time (between 11-12) until 830. I felt a little uneasy about this, although of course it was fine on our visit. Overall though it was a fabulous stay in a fabulous room with friendly staff to help.

A beautifully renovated building with luxurious style, this genuinely is a boutique place to stay. A spacious and airy bedroom with large en-suite shower room, there’s space to work, relax and sleep. Breakfast is amazing value at under €15 - a feast that’s freshly prepared and presented in the Fire Café next door (there’s an indoor route between the two buildings, served by staff who are friendly and very helpful - perfect.
