AWFUL rooms, cheaply decorated. They are actually mobile structures so you can hear everything from every wall around you. Terrible food. Terrible service. Strange vibes with hodgepodge of buildings, decor and furnishings. It feels like you’re on the set of a B- movie.

Calamigos Ranch and Beach Club was the perfect weekend stay for my birthday celebration. From the moment you arrive the staff goes out of their way to make sure you feel welcomed and comfortable. It has the perfect balance between luxury and laid-back approach for a ranch setting that seems that you are far away from Los Angeles for a true getaway. Perfect for Angelenos to go for a nice reset without extensive traveling. The Bungalow we stayed was perfect and very comfortable and had great amenities that you can also take home with you! I highly recommend checking this resort out for a relaxing weekend!

Booked a cottage at the last minute and so glad we did. The front desk staff got back to me immediately and they even upgraded us! Much thanks to Vi and Erika for greeting us so warmly and taking care of all our requests. Now, the grounds: extremely beautiful, carefully maintained pool area, charming boardwalk feel as you traveled through the resort and the room decor was outstanding. Book a place with a fireplace if you can and looking out over the pasture. It was very quiet and felt secluded. Cocktails in the lobby were great with a mid century modern, Malibu feel. The valets were terrific too! We were not there long enough to take advantage of beach but will definitely do that next time. There is a cool, modern, laid back elegance to this place that I LOVE. A great place for an LA staycation or a romantic get away. We went mid week when it was quiet, so I don't know what it's like on weekends or if there is a wedding. It's a beautiful retreat, however, no matter what time of week. Can't wait to go back.

This place is a hidden gem! We wanted to surround ourselves with nature but didn't want to travel far and this boutique hotel was the PERFECT spot. It had the mountain feeling yet it had all the luxurious amenities. The cottages and bungalows have herbs and strawberries growing right outside the door. My kids really enjoyed that aspect. We especially loved lounging poolside with a delicious cocktail in hand. The hotel does have a beach club and a shuttle to take you to it. We unfortunately did not make it to the beach but I hear its great too. You cannot go wrong with this hotel!

We visit Calamigos for out last 2 nights staying in Los Angeles, and it was by far the best place we stayed. In fact, I'd say it's one of the best places we've ever visited. The whole place is stunning, set in beautiful surroundings. The service is exceptional throughout the whole resort, and all the little added extras make it great value for money. Everything from the champagne on arrival, complimentary bottle of wine and little freebies by the pool, to all the amazing facilities, the private beach and beach club and free use of paddle boards and surf boards made it an experience of a lifetime. Thank you to all the staff for such an amazing stay. Go and visit this place!
