The front desk staff, in particular, are meticulous and thoughtful, making travelers feel right at home.

From your window, you can enjoy panoramic views of the Yi River and the Western Hill Grottoes, and even stunning night views. As a long-standing state guesthouse, it not only offers 24-hour private hot spring baths but also provides complimentary shuttle buggies to the scenic area, making travel effortless and convenient. The room service is full of thoughtful details; they even provide shoe dryers on rainy days. While some facilities show a bit of age, the overall experience is superb. It's a hidden gem for immersing yourself in the charm of the ancient capital and enjoying a relaxing holiday. Highly recommended!

The hotel is quite old, and the room facilities are very dated, with some furnishings poorly laid out. The lighting is extremely dim, which would be uncomfortable for anyone who prefers bright hotel styles. The front desk staff were efficient, perhaps because there weren't many people, but they were very business-like, only providing necessary answers. I didn't really get to experience the hotel's featured garden architecture and hot springs; there were no staff to guide me on how to explore, and some buildings were closed for renovation. Also, when I booked the hotel, it said it was next to the Longmen Grottoes, but when I first tried to use Didi (a ride-hailing app) to get there, I couldn't pinpoint the location. After some hassle, I called the front desk, and they told me it could be located, but the map pin needed adjustment. Arriving at the Longmen Grottoes hotel from the high-speed train on a hot day, the check-in process was quite a ordeal. Even with a complimentary modest fruit platter, this was one of the poorer hotel experiences during this trip. Based on the strong recommendations on Ctrip and the hotel's sophisticated website description as a five-star hotel, it felt somewhat undeserving of its reputation after staying there.

Rushing for the high-speed train in the morning, two of us asked for two takeaway boxes. As we were about to leave, my child said they wanted hot congee, but it couldn't be packed for takeaway. So we sat down to eat a bowl of congee before leaving. An older staff member rudely and unreasonably questioned us, saying, "Is it for takeaway or are you eating here?" We stayed here for four nights and had dinner at the Chinese restaurant three times. All the other service was excellent, but this one incident was a real spoil!

The views from within the scenic area are absolutely stunning! The Quege Teahouse offers a beautiful setting to enjoy tea while taking in the scenery. The hotel service was also superb; they were always ready to assist. We never had to wait for transfers up and down the mountain. The room was very quiet, ensuring a great night's sleep. The only minor downside was that the mini-fridge in our room was broken, but the housekeeping staff kindly stored our drinks in their large fridge and would bring them to us whenever we called.

The environment here is great, right across from the Longmen Grottoes. You can see the night tour of Longmen as soon as you cross the bridge. The stay was very comfortable and amazing. They also provided a pick-up and drop-off service to the high-speed rail station, which was really a nice touch. I'll definitely stay here again next time.

The room was spacious and my room on the fourth floor was very quiet. From the observation deck on the fourth floor, I could see the Longmen Grottoes in the distance. The staff were warm and thoughtful, explaining the Longmen Grottoes tour route in detail. The hotel's buggy service to the scenic area's buggy pick-up point was very convenient. The hotel's restaurant had a nice ambiance; dinner was mediocre, but breakfast was good.

I wanted to visit the Longmen Grottoes at night, and since it would be late, I booked a stay here. The hotel offers a shuttle service to near the ticket office. When you're done with your visit, just call the hotel from the drop-off point, and they'll come pick you up. The shuttle driver was excellent! I asked him so many questions, and he answered all of them clearly and thoughtfully. He even gave me a map of the grottoes. Thumbs up!

The breakfast spread in the restaurant is extensive, featuring local specialties such as Hu La Tang (spicy soup), lamb soup, and tofu soup.
