Steigenberger Achti Resort Luxor

The staff are super friendly. I was upgraded for free to a room with a Nile view. The hotel facilities are excellent, and the breakfast is superb.

An absolutely perfect hotel stay! In Luxor, it's incredibly important to stay at a safe and friendly hotel, and I'm so grateful for the warm and welcoming service from two receptionists, Catherine and Magda. Their enthusiasm and cheerfulness filled me with excitement for my trip! During check-in, Catherine eagerly shared all of the hotel's facilities and provided me with a hotel introduction in Chinese, which helped me quickly get acquainted with the property. After I checked in, she also checked if I was satisfied with my room. I want to express my gratitude again for her exceptional service. The gentleman at the luggage storage was also very friendly and asked about my luggage and check-in needs in Chinese. When I was scammed by a carriage driver outside, I contacted the hotel's front desk. They very quickly dispatched security personnel to ensure my safety, and the two carriage drivers who were trying to scam me promptly left. While swimming, the staff promptly laid out towels, and drink orders were taken with enthusiasm and speed. Everything was so friendly. In summary, it was a perfect trip and a perfect hotel. I am extremely satisfied.

The bedding was the best I've experienced in Egypt – no pilling and very comfortable. However, the facilities were poor and the service wasn't very professional. The disposable toiletries were wrinkled, the balcony had dust and was a bit dirty, and the outlets were all flawed.

The service was great, and there was a Chinese-speaking receptionist. Housekeeping folded different animal shapes every day. The environment was lovely and very quiet. There are many restaurants within a kilometer of the hotel. The only downside was a strong horse manure smell on a short stretch of road right outside the hotel entrance.

The room had a super large balcony facing the Nile, which was a huge plus. In the afternoon, I watched the sunset from the pool, looking at the west bank of the Nile – it felt like a world away. Luxor is incredibly hot; you really can't go out in the afternoon during summer. For breakfast, the bagels and oatmeal were the only things I could eat.

Not recommended, pretty mediocre. Even after tipping 200, we still got a room with a slum view. The public area is nowhere near as good as King's Island Julie; it's smaller and not as attractive. No need to choose this place if you're driving.

The location is far from the city bustle and has its own riverside garden. The price of around 400 is very reasonable. I booked a room with breakfast, but when I checked in, the order showed no breakfast. I'm not sure if I made a mistake or if it was an issue with Ctrip. Perhaps it's because the hotel is so inexpensive, but they only provided two bottles of water, and it took a lot of communication to get two more. Overall, the hotel is still quite good.
