Booked as a birthday treat for my daughter in law. Our day started with a very warm welcome from Amy who showed us round . We were allowed unlimited access to the huge swimming pool and indoor/ outdoor jacuzzis, steam room etc. . The DIY Rasool Ritual was great fun . We had both experienced a hammam scrub massage before but applying our own products made the experience more unique . The eye massage and Indian head massages felt exquisite and both our therapists were friendly and courteous . Having our nails expertly done by Jen and Katie was a lovely experience to end the day. Our deal also included afternoon tea in the main building , a short walk from the spa. The restaurant staff were charming and our very knowledgeable waitress (MaryChristmas) helped us with our choice . We were seated with other visitors who had come in solely for the afternoon tea and felt a little scruffy with our Indian head massaged hair do’s ! But we received the absolute warmest of welcomes and the food was delicious and plentiful . An absolute winner of a day and worth every penny. Excellent staff throughout .

My husband and I have had a wonderful stay at Foxhills and we will be sure to return! All staff that we met were smiling and helpful, but the reception team were standout for their warmth and kindness. Amazing facilities and beautiful rooms, Foxhills is a gem for this area.

This is one of those rare places where both the hotel and the golf course are truly outstanding: there’s a full course as well as a nine-hole par-3 course, where our whole family, including our 5 yo, had a wonderful time playing golf

We really enjoyed our stay. The setting is beautiful with expansive grounds. We particularly enjoyed the yoga class looking out at trees and gardens. Also the outdoor hot tub and swimming pool were amazing - even in January! We both had a treatment and came away feeling utterly relaxed. On the positive side - the rooms are spacious and immaculately presented. The pillows were the most comfortable we’ve ever slept on! Slightly less positive was that our treatments were not booked at the time we arranged so we didn’t get to do the classes we had hoped to do. For us that was part of why we chose this venue so we were a little disappointed. Also the main house is under renovation. We were aware of this ahead of arriving but it did mean you can only eat dinner in the informal restaurant. This isn’t a very nice space - the lighting is very harsh and certainly didn’t feel like a premium dining experience. The food was ok but not worth the price for what is essentially a pub experience. I would happily return for the location and use of the leisure facilities but just for bed and breakfast next time. I went with my sister but it would be great for couples or families too.

Lovely property in the countryside- close enough to Heathrow, if you need it. The property has a golf course, offers memberships, and is great for families- with 2 restaurants, and the charming Manor House Lounge, plus Flo’s- a casual eatery great for kids, in the membership pool complex - (both indoor and outdoor). Plus, a lovely Spa, which includes a warm indoor swimming pool, steam room, sauna, outdoor, natural plunge pool and an open air jacuzzi, with sunbeds in the garden. Hotel guests also have access to the pretty, outdoor residents pool. The best thing, is that the pools are warm! Unlike so many hotels! Perfect for swimming! The rooms have all been redone, and are beautiful, elegant and with all amenities, except air conditioning- rarely needed in Britain. I stayed in two types of rooms, the first- the ex stables- single suites being on the ground floor, with tables, chairs and sun beds on the lovely lawn outside. Very nice- but I do suggest adding fogged film to the bottom portion of the bathroom windows, as they look out in the courtyard. This area also has two storied family suites. The next visit, I was in the Lyme House, on the second floor- (an elevator is in this building.) Also, beautiful, well appointed rooms. The restaurant is very pretty, and the food good, but the service is the standout- the friendliest, nicest staff! The front office is wonderful too- Louis, greeting everyone and so helpful and friendly, and the ladies at reception- I must mention Liberty, as she went above and beyond assisting me with any requests and queries. Even when I arrived- and sadly, the taxi driver from Southampton, had been awful, telling me he had several friends that liked dating women my age- (what?)- then tried to overcharge me by $50.00. Liberty and Lewis came to my aid. The one thing that caused great and incessant problems, was the lack of a phone- the iPad provided- is time consuming, not comprehensive, makes mistakes- (my room service meal was listed as being for the room next door!) and calls drop constantly. I was forced to use the “Teams” app, which links to my old Skype account, to call, which calls also dropped. Coming from the US, if I had just called directly, I would have easily racked up over a hundred dollars worth of International charges. At one point- with a question about my bill, where we got disconnected again, Liberty, from reception actually ran over to my room, rather than call me back- much appreciated, as the call would have wasted many dollars. There is an electrical outlet switch in the closet, that turns on the bathroom heated towel rack- they need to let us know where that is- as I had to ask staff- wasting their time and mine. Also, they need to provide luggage racks in all the rooms, otherwise guests have no choice but to open their often dirty, wet, muddy luggage on the clean, white bedding- a nightmare for staff, and a huge waste of laundry, time, power, water etc. Also, please do not perform maintenance on

I stayed here with my partner about a year ago and had a lovely time. We both enjoyed a lovely stay, spa experience and service throughout. We left thinking we'd definitely return. But what has happened? I just called to make a reservation but had to ring 4 times to get anywhere. I explained I wanted to make a booking to stay but each time I was put through to disengaged numbers. When I called back to explain, the receptionist was monotone, unhelpful and unapologetic and just told me to ring back. By the 4th attempt I was frustrated and asked to speak to someone else who sent me some information but I'll not follow it up. I think that if you can't get your service right at the start of a customer journey, it's unlikely to be better further down the line It's a shame as Foxhills is not too far away and I wanted to make it a regular retreat.
