Hôtel de l'Abbaye Lyon - Boutique Hôtel

A lovely hotel in a quiet part of the city. Great Neighborhood. Stunning renovation. The common areas and the restaurant were beautiful. Loved our room - lots of space. We stayed in a signature room with a large comfy bed, desk, table and two chairs and two lounging chairs. Modern bath with individual shower. Bath robes and slippers. Good recommendations for sightseeing as well as shopping and restaurants. Their restaurant was outstanding and we had a delicious dinner there. Staff was friendly and made sure we were satisfied. Don't miss Les Halles food hall and Bernachon Chocolate Store. This is a city with lovely food options.

Loved our stay here. Room was spacious and well equipped with beautiful views of the church and roof tops. Staff were extremely helpful with information on getting around the city and where to eat. Breakfast was very good with lots of choices. Highly recommend!

Came here looking for a week to relax and explore the city. What I got was a bell that never stopped ringing and non sound proof windows where I could here the people eating below my window making constant commotion. I emailed and called the hotel before I booked and asked what kind of noise was around, was there any construction, what is the noise like, they assured me it was a quiet hotel and area. I even asked them specifically what room type to book that is the quietest. I booked what they suggested and asked for a high floor. What I got was a room right above the restaurant so I could here every word the diners said all day and night. Also there is a bell that rings non stop all day and night 10 feet from my room. So don't even think about sleeping in or taking a nap. It's so incredibly loud my heart rate jumped every time it went off. I couldn't sleep through it at all, I literally jumped ever 15 minutes when it goes off. When I asked why they didn't tell me about a non stop bell that is so loud it makes you jump with your windows closed even, I was told no one else has complained.

From the reception to departure all our interactions with Hôtel staff was courteous and helpful. Great location, not overly crowded and the breakfast was wonderful. Room was spacious and well appointed.

We were glad that we chose Hotel De L'Abbaye for our visit to Lyon. The location is excellent. The room was wonderful; a corner room with four large windows and a view of the Abbaye. The reception on check in is excellent. You are offered iced tea or water, a must needed perk after a long journey. The receptionist/concierge gives you a map, talks about sights and restaurants and marks locations on the map. Be sure to email them prior to your visit for a list of restaurants. There are many excellent suggestions. Maxim was at the front desk for most of our visit. All the staff was excellent- but Maxim goes the extra mile to ensure your stay is perfect.
