Travelodge Manchester Ancoats Hotel

A great location close to Manchester Victoria station loads of bars and clubs and niche shopping. Was here for a music gig the other side of the city but Uber there and back was very easy. The hotel staff were all incredibly friendly and fun and the morning breakfast was extensive and a good selection of most things. It’s a clean and surprisingly quiet hotel as it’s right on a very busy main road. It’s a budget hotel so not too many frills no fridge or iron but everything worked really well good bed and good shower and for me that’s the main selling factor of a hotel room.

Having stayed in numerous Travelodges, this is undoubtedly one of the better ones in the group. The staff were attentive and helpful especially Bernadette. The location is easily accessible from most mainline stations. Even the noise from the busy main road is kept to a minimum with double glazing. Breakfast was plentiful, hot and constantly replenished. All together a very pleasant stay and we would be happy to stay here again.

The hotel was in a great location to walk into the city, the problem is where it is. Lots of traffic noise, sirens at all hours, cars beeping and loud music from cars. Its not the hotels fault but just a warning if you stay there you may not get good nights sleep. Our room was never cleaned, we asked for a top up and all they did was put two towels in the room on our unmade bed (yes our problem but we thought it was getting a clean). Didnt do any sort of clean, had bins over flowing by the 5th day of our stay (luckily our last) and didnt top up the toilet roll. Its not the worst place to stay as its a clean hotel with good location but I wouldn't stay here again for long periods of time.

great location in northern quarter, central but quiet, close to shops/transport, staff were friendly

Having stayed at Travelodge Manchester Ancoats since around mid-July, with just a week away at Manchester Piccadilly Travelodge and the Holiday Inn, I can honestly say that leaving here feels like saying goodbye to a home away from home. During my stay, I’ve experienced every room type available, from accessible and family rooms to doubles and the fantastic SuperRooms. The rooms have all had their own appeal, but what has truly made this experience exceptional is the incredible management and staff. The level of service, care and genuine hospitality here is every bit the equal of, if not better than, what I’ve experienced in four- and five-star hotels. It’s the people who make this place special, and the team here should be immensely proud. A very special mention to management Daniela & Cath - Unstoppable Duo! And Staff members Joy (wouldn't be breakfast without her!) The lovely Faith! Alessio, Elena, Liubou, Emira, Jaiana, Ellie, Mike, and Benedette 🙃 all of whom deserve recognition for making my stay so enjoyable. (Apologies if i missed your name!) I’d also like to give particular praise to the ladies in housekeeping. They have been absolutely lovely throughout my stay — always friendly, approachable and willing to go out of their way to accommodate any request. Their kindness, hard work and thoughtfulness have not gone unnoticed. I’m genuinely sad to be leaving, which says everything about the experience I’ve had here. Thank you to the entire team for making such a long stay so enjoyable and for making me feel so welcome. I’ll definitely be back — if not for the wonderful people, then certainly for the pizza and sticky toffee pudding! 🍕🍰 A very well-deserved five stars. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ From Pizza Boy 🍕
