This hotel is too old. The bed has wheels and moves around. The fire alarm suddenly went off in the middle of the night. The soundproofing at night is terrible; it's very noisy outside. You can hear everything clearly in the room when someone moves upstairs. This hotel is historical, but its facilities are completely outdated.

This hotel was the best value for money I booked on my trip. It's not far from the train station. The building has a lot of history, the lobby upon entering is very luxurious, and the stay was also good. Plus, you can store your luggage for free. I felt good about it.

Average room. Breakfast was terrible don’t bother booking that and security made me feel unwelcome had seen me leave to collect a takeaway at the door and then demanded to see the room card to prove we were actually stopping there. The location is perfect 10 mins of that from Piccadilly and right in the city center for shopping or bars if that’s what your into

This was my second time to stay at Britannia Hotel City Centre Manchester. The room was very comfortable with a large bathroom with a bathtub, and I had a very good night sleep, indeed. On the following morning, I had to catch a local bus (number 43) to Manchester Airport from Piccadilly Gardens, and because of the excellent location of the hotel, it was a very easy trip there. Also, the hotel is located very close to / from Manchester Coach Station and it is only a 1-minute walk.

This was my 4th stay at this hotel, and unfortunately it was disappointing. The room was dirty and dusty. At check-in, I complained about the dirty washroom, and staff members Sai and Anjo were rude and disrespectful in response. They moved me to a different room, but it was also dusty and the carpet had a slight odor.
The water kettle's cord couldn't reach the socket, so I had to keep moving it around the room just to use it. There was also a broken table fan left in the room, which felt like a safety hazard. There was no side table to keep the fan.
I contacted Trip.com customer support, who said the hotel manager would follow up with a resolution. He never did.
No facilities in this hotel.
I would not recommend this hotel if you're looking for a clean, peaceful stay.

The room was decent, enough for one person. The location is excellent, right near Piccadilly Gardens and only an 8-minute walk from the train station. It's also not far from the city center.
