Holiday Inn MANCHESTER - CITY CENTRE by IHG

Location: Very close to Piccadilly station, and easily accessible without any obstacles. Make sure you don't accidentally buy a ticket to the wrong station. Hygiene: The towels were clean, but there were stains on the toilet seat when I checked in. I usually carry alcohol wipes when I travel, so I had to clean it myself. The floor mat also absorbed stains from the grout, but it was replaced the next morning. Room: Pretty good. If you happen to have noisy foreigners staying next door, the soundproofing isn't great. There's a fridge though, which is a plus!

The room was very spacious, and the bedding was comfortable and clean. As is common in Europe, there were no slippers or toothbrushes. I asked the front desk for two sets of toothbrushes, but there were no slippers or bottled water. Breakfast was an authentic English breakfast. The Holiday Inn MANCHESTER - CITY CENTRE by IHG is in the city center, close to everything and within walking distance. Manchester train station is a 5-minute walk away. For 720 yuan including two breakfasts, the value for money is good.

The room was quite old, and the carpet looked dirty, but the size was decent. The elliptical machine in the gym wasn't working, and breakfast was just okay. The location is good though, only a five-minute walk to Piccadilly Station.

Firstly, there's no room service. When I asked for a plate and a fork, they told me to go down to the restaurant on the ground floor to pick them up myself. Secondly, during room cleaning, they left dirty dishes on the table. Was I supposed to wait for them to stink, or wash them myself in the restaurant kitchen and return them? Thirdly, the 'king-size' bed was actually two beds pushed together, and the middle part was so hard I couldn't even sleep there.

True to its name, Holiday Inn Express Manchester City Centre is incredibly convenient. Bus stops, train stations, convenience stores – everything you need is right there.

The room was spacious and clean, and the staff were very friendly. Breakfast was excellent and the location was great, close to both the train station and the city center. It was convenient to find places to eat and to catch trams and buses nearby. The art gallery and library were also just a 10-minute walk away.

Super convenient downtown location! Only 200 meters from the train station and a 3-minute walk to Chinatown. Plus, the free number one public bus (city circular) is right nearby. All the attractions are within easy reach. Highly recommend for a visit to Manchester!
