My first visit to Meizhou City, home of the Hakka people. Stayed in Days Hotel. Supposedly a 4 star hotel, this place offers great value for your stay. The room is large by comparison. The hotel has a laundry room on the second floor and all you have to do it to pop your laundry into the washer and leave a note with your room number and type of wash. An attendant will finish off the wash and dry cycle, fold your clothes and deliver them to you packed nicely in a laundry bag. Free!
My travelling friend complained about the smell of smoke in his room. Hotel was apologetic and arranged a nicer (larger) room for him immediately. Manager on duty gave special attention to us and chatted with us whenever he saw us. Talk about personalised service.
Location wise, I find Days to be rather close to all the sightseeing and food places I earmarked. As the city does not have a subway and the bus comes in rather long intervals, the location becomes more important. Fortunately, ride hailing is easy and cheap in Meizhou.
I plan to return to Meizhou again in the future. Definitely staying in Days again.

The place is clean. Love the strong water pressure of the shower to relax our aching body. Food is easily assessable nearby

The moment you walk into the hotel, the spacious modernized lobby is very impressive. The staffs were very polite and efficient in getting through check in process. This is probably one of the best hotels with super fast elevators. Hardly any wait time. Loved the easy to use laundry service on 2F. Breakfast top quality and choices. Daily top up of water and extra sodas in the room. Will absolutely stay again. Highly recommended.
