Ocean Reef Resort

Front desk workers talking to each other and not acknowledging your presence. Lazy river not working. Music in the cement enclosure super loud and you can't have a conversation. Halloween decorations Awesome! Clean facility

Not what I expected!! Booked 7/1–7/5/2026 and it’s been one disappointment after another. Arrived couple hrs early with two young kids and asked to pay and check in sooner — was told they’d call when the room was ready. Never got a call until 4:05, right at check-in time. Room 425 was outdated with a stained couch and only one trash can for a one-bedroom suite. We also found leftover pretzels tucked under the TV stand — my 18-month-old nearly put one in her mouth before I caught it.The bathroom vent was filthy The bigger issue was the pull-out sofa bed — paper-thin, with the metal springs poking through. Not a single time was the room phone answered when I called the front desk directly. I ended up calling the reservation line from my cellphone and getting transferred just to request a room change or even down grade from our one bedroom jr suit to different bed type, even offering to pay extra for a two-bedroom. I was told nothing was available for the rest of our stay and was just given extra blankets to pad the sofa bed. The onsite advertised arcade was “out of order” through our entire stay — and smelled like sewage. (7/3), the elevator is went out of order for sometime . The only pro- location, onsite laundry and the sweet ladies at the cafe.

Impressed with the remodeled rooms , staff was friendly and cooperative with any linen needs , grandgirl LOVED the water amenities and im on the balcony with a great cup.of coffee . The hotel hallways were quiet and the whole place smelled clean and fresh . I guess im gushing...lol.

From the moment we walked in it smelled amazing and everything was so fresh and new like a high-end hotel. Prices were great staff were very friendly and our room was super clean and updated.(ROOM 612). Our room was super high-tech. It had a bar table with wireless charging (which I totally needed because I left my charger at home ) touchless lights and and a pull out sofa couch, which gave us more sleeping room than expected! . Definitely would recommend.!

I truly enjoyed my stay here, it was my Birthday getaway, as always Ocean Reef Resort, is my number one destination to visit, Great hospitality from the staff. ❤️

My fiancé & I were excited about coming to Myrtle Beach for the first time & so we came for Mother's Day weekend & stayed at the Ocean Reef Resort from Sat-Mon. Unfortunately we did not have the best experience. The room we had was Beyond dated. Nothing about it was appealing to the eye, At All. And to make matters worst, we started to see BABY ROACHES in our bathroom!! We seen about a total of 4 at random times during the midnight hours on Sun & Mon. It was such an absolute cringy experience. In all my years I have Never been in a hotel & have seen roaches in my room!!. I was Flabbergasted to say the least. If it wasn't for my fiancé just being more eager about checking out and leaving vs me giving the staff a piece of my mind they definitely would've been hearing from me. *I seem to be unable to attach my videos here* PRO: The beach access and downstairs bar/restaurant was nice.

Third time staying here and we absolutely love this resort!! This trip we stayed in the one bedroom penthouse which is amazing!!

A great place for you and your family are just you want to relax this is the place for real I love it
