Moon Lotus Abode

The owner is Chinese from HK. He and his wife are very friendly. The location is just located in the heart of NY Chinatown. Easy accessible to MTR and also foods. Suitsble for solo or two person group to stay.

The room is small, only has a bed and a table. Does have a A/C unit that definitely came in handy. There was washer and dryer available for use and a small kitchen. There is a code lock. On there door, so your belongings are secure! The room could've been vacuumed otherwise I don't have any complaints. Perfect for a solo traveler who just needs somewhere to sleep. Also just one block from Grand St. Station

Location is very nice close to subway and many attractions around, price is good, free water in the kitchen, a good lady supporting during check in, quite room or neighbors was quite. For solo traveller I had good room. Slept well after whole day travelling.

A family run operation with small rooms but comfortable beds. Between the price and the nice hosts, who live near the Moon Lotus, I was very satisfied. Make no mistake these are modest small rooms but for me who just needed a place to sleep while adventuring around town it was perfect. Very quiet and air conditioned. I have stayed at hostels and this is an upgrade from thise on a budget. Awesome working class neighborhood a half block from the subway.

Top budget / beautiful Chinatown / Soho emplacement.

I loved ny stay the Moon Lotus Abode. The location is perfect for Chinatown, LES, & SoHo. Train station right on corner. I felt safe at all times and the place, including the shared shower room and bathroom, were very clean! I stayed in a single “open floor plan” room which did mean there was another guest in a space next to me only divided by a wall, but I barely saw her. I suppose with the open floor plan, if you got a not great neighbor it could be less pleasant. The room was very warm with a nice heavy comforter & it was very cold outside the weekend I visited. They provided towels, sheets, slippers, & a toothbrush. It is not luxury & there is no room service, but it is safe, clean, & warm with great hosts! When you check-in you go through a shop that has yummy egg tarts! Will stay again! Be aware there is a short flight of stairs up to the space, so if that is an issue, please consider that. One of the hosts, Kevin did help with my too big bag! Totally satisfied!!!

STAY AWAY! This is basically a hostel. I was blown away that this place charge almost $300 a night. It is run down, sketchy, and an unbelievable scam. I have asked for my money back because we immediately left and booked a cheaper hotel down the road for half the price. They argued with me and haven't refunded us even though we didn't stay in their closet of a dirty room. I'm disgusted.
