Ngorongoro Lodge Member of Meliá Collection

Of all the places we stayed at during our safari in Tanzania, the Ngorongoro Lodge Melia was probably our favorite. The place was simply stunning and the view CANNOT be beat. Just a breathtaking view of the crater below. There is a great outdoor space to enjoy a drink and the view. The staff and food were excellent as well. I really wish we would have stayed more than a single night! A special thank you to Angela who went above and beyond to ensure our stay was fantastic. There was a wood carving of a Rhino in our room that we adored and wanted to purchase a similar one from the gift shop. The gift shop had none left, but Angela sold us the one that was in our room and said she would simply replace it once the lodge received more. It is one of our favorite souvenirs that we brought back from our trip. Now when I look at it, I think of our amazing Safari in Tanzania, the Ngorongoro creater, as well as our wonderful stay at the lodge! If you're planning a trip, I would highly recommend staying at this lodge, you will not regret it. Especially if you're celebrating a special occassion such as a honeymoon, birthday or anniversary. Or if you can only splurge on one stay during your trip, make it this lodge!

Meliá Ngorongoro Lodge was honestly one of the most incredible places we have ever stayed. The views are absolutely insane — waking up surrounded by the beauty of the Ngorongoro landscape was an experience in itself. The food was amazing, the service was fantastic, and the whole lodge had such a special atmosphere. Everything felt luxurious while still allowing you to feel completely immersed in the incredible surroundings. We genuinely wish we had stayed longer! It was the perfect place to relax and take in the beauty of Tanzania, and we would absolutely love to return. Couldn’t recommend Meliá Ngorongoro Lodge highly enough! 🤍🌿

We had a wonderful stay at Meliá Ngorongoro Lodge! It was an excellent, comfortable and beyond gorgeous property with very friendly staff. Angela was especially helpful and attentive. We had a lovely conversation with her one evening sharing stories. We enjoyed staying on the rim of the crater. We saw lots of wildlife including right outside of our room! Highly recommend!

We stayed at the Melia Ngorongoro Lodge for 2 nights and were blown away by both the beautiful views and the wonderful staff. This is currently one of only six hotels on the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater, offering breathtaking views across the crater and very fast access to game drives. The service and personal attention given to guests is outstanding, with an excellent balance of luxury yet informality. There is an infinity pool (quite small) where you can relax and admire the beautiful views. The staff includes a couple of Masai locals, who enhance the authentic feel of the hotel and who are on hand to chat. We were also treated to a Masai performance one evening, which was fun and interesting. Although all of the staff were excellent, Angela, Manager of Guest Services deserves a special mention. We booked both the Ngorongoro Lodge and Serengeti Lodge on the "All Inclusive Safari Experience" basis, which gives seamless organisation between the two hotels. Game drives are included each day and also the transfer between the two lodges, which itself incorporates a game drive. We had an excellent driver / guide - Herbert. We cannot say enough good things about this hotel and would not hesitate to give it the highest recommendation. I will have a lasting memory of driving away, with staff waving us off, tearful to leave such a special place but hopeful that we will return one day.

What an amazing stay. The best place to stay in the Ngorongoro Crater. Short commute in the morning to get into the crater with refreshing and comfortable accommodations. Loved the heated pool. Our room was excellent - a great mix of modern amenities while still paying respects to the scenery from the crater. Staff were top notch. I really cannot speak more highly of everyone - to our server in the restaurant who we got to know over our stay all the way to the property manager. We will definitely be recommending this property to our family and friends that wish to visit the Ngorongoro Crater.

А wonderful hotel with an incredible view of the Ngorongoro Crater! The staff are extremely friendly and attentive, making you feel truly welcome from the moment you arrive. The all-inclusive concept is very convenient, and the food is delicious and varied. But the highlight is, of course, the breathtaking view — absolutely unforgettable. Definitely one of the most memorable hotels of our trip to Tanzania. ❤️🇹🇿

What an amazing hotel. The rooms have a breathtaking view. The baboons are frequently outside your window eating grass and playing. The food is flavorful. The staff is friendly. I truly cannot say enough glowing things.
