La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Oklahoma City Norman

We had been on a long drive from Canada to Texas and checked in on Monday night. We woke up at 9:20 a.m. to have breakfast because we had been told it was served until 10 am. It turned out that breakfast ended at 9am and was only served until 10 am on Sundays.

Perfectly acceptable. Room was clean, everything worked in the room and the bathroom was stocked with essentials. Choice in signage interesting.

Booked a reservation 48 hours in advance, traveled up from Houston with 2 small children only to find 10 other people waiting in the lobby just as confused as we were to find out our reservations were given away. We then had to scramble to find accommodations at a nearby hotel that was 50% more expensive. To say we were upset was a very big understatement. Horrible experience!

It's run down, needs a lot of maintenance. Pictures on their website are not accurate at all. WiFi didn't work our entire trip. Phone in the room isn't connected to the wall, so you cannot call the front desk. No remote for the TV - I called the front desk from my cell phone (bc the landline isn't connected) and was told "okay you can come down and get one." Nobody answered the front desk 3 of 6 times I called - so the only way to reach reception or correct problems was to walk downstairs each time. The alarm clock in the unoccupied neighboring room started going off at 6am. Would NOT recommend ... even for the low price (probably WHY it's the low price!)

One night stay at the La Quinta in Norman was enough for us. Despite being pet friendly, the room we were assigned was VERY musty and smelled. Being after 9pm when we checked in, we just dealt with it hoping adjusting the AC would correct the issue. Wrong. Breakfast was very limited. Would like to see more individually packaged items like yogurt and cereal rather than a communal bowl to dish out of. I guess it was one of those hotels you get what you pay for. Bummer cause I was hoping for a better experience.

Great clean hotel, reasonably priced, friendly staff, dog friendly and they don't charger the ridiculous fees for dogs like other hotel chains do. It's a relief to know they are good choice for travelers with pets.

As a long time member playing nearly $400/night for this stay, I was appalled that the Wyndham policy is to charge on the day for early check in. The room was ready, no extra work required and it could have been a nice way to start a trip. I would like to get a similar refund for checking out 3 hours early that enabled them to charge the next poor guest that had to pay for early checkin that day. Ridiculous and stupid way to lose a guest.

We smelled pee when we walked in and the room was musty. The AC filtere were FILTHY. I replied to the welcome text but didn't get and answer until hours after we checked out.

Big improvements from La Quinta back in the day. Clean, comfortable rooms. Walls are a bit thin especially if there is a dog next door
