I absolutely love this hotel and rank it the best #1 hotel in Ocean city , I have only stayed here 2 times and both times were nothing short of amazing I have to give a praise to Alison Evans front desk supervisor, she was the most amazing polite ,professional person I have ever had the privilege to do business with , thanks Alison !

We travelled from Niagara Falls, Canada to celebrate our daughter’s birthday and were very excited to utilize the amenities at the hotel. Prior to check-in I had requested an upgrade but was told they can only upgrade upon checkin. Upon check-in, we were told the suites we wanted to upgrade to was not possible because they were sold out that night. Once we settled into our suite and had some food to eat I proceeded back to front desk to see if we could upgrade the next few days to the suite we wanted. The front desk agent told us that the hotel was not even close to sold out and he wasnt sure why we were lied to. He called the manager to see if we could upgrade but they wouldnt upgrade split days and at this time they couldn’t accommodate it. I was really upset with that because to my surprise we also learned the outdoor pools are not even up until after memorial day! So if your booking the hotel for the pool, wait until after memorial day. The indoor pool was nice, the kids spent a good chunk of time in the pool. The location of the hotel was great, about halfway down the ***** so it was close to everything. The rooms were OK at best. The bathroom had a bathtub with a waterfall showerhead, the water pressure was not good. There was no water spout for the tub- if you wanna fill in the jetted tub, the water comes out of the jets. The tub was so high my children had a hard time climbing in and out. The patio screen wouldnt close fully- the top left corner would sink towards the right. Our housekeeping was not completed on our last day which was disappointing considering the sand all over the floor. The hotel atmosphere was nice and clean. Staff were ok. Not overly nice. We did find the hotels offers complimentary washer and dryer services which were a blessing! Overall, I would come back when the pools are open. I will be sure to ask for a manager upon check-in to ensure honesty and transparency.

Most everything about this Hilton exceeds expectations, like the location, the staff and how friendly and helpful they are with the exception of the room. There is nothing wrong with the room in general with the exception of some of the furnishings. My blackout curtain had holes in it. The rod used to pull the blackout curtain was laying on the floor and the rain shower head was utterly disgusting (old and spots all over it-Room 705). Made me wonder how clean I was actually getting. Add to that, the water pressure made it seem like a rain sprinkle shower rather than a rain shower. Lastly, as I've seen in other reviews, getting into the shower was a major task due to how high the side of the tub was. Overall, would I stay here again, most definitely-I just hope they one day decide to do some upgrades.

The Good: It is Oceanfront, has a fantastic outside bartender that is personable and wants you to have a good day; the other outstanding employee- Vince; he greets you and helps you with your luggage and explains highlights of the hotel. The Bad: Housekeeping doesn't clean your room each day. Front desk did not know how to respond to noise in our hallway. It has lost the "Dunes Manor" charm. The Honest: Dirty and Run down; we found chips in the bed (upon check in) the couch was too filthy to sit on without putting something over it; the comforter had a hole in it. This did not feel like the Hilton standard.

Everything here is wonderful. I write this as I relax by the pool. I didn't want to wait till we got home because I'd forget. The location, amenities, and the rooms are above our expectations. The staff has been exceptional from the moment we checked in at the front desk. I wish I had gotten everyone's name. In particular, Frank Barranco, the Concierge, has been so helpful and was instrumental in obtaining dinner reservations for us that we were unable to get. He is so perfect for his job and such a pleasure to talk to. Hilton is lucky to have him in this position. Nick the bell hop was fantastic. Tierney, the pool waitress is also such a pleasure to deal with. Hilton seems to be doing it right at this location. Great employees are the key to a successful establishment. We look forward to our return.

I have stayed at this Hilton over 20 times...beginning in 2011...Saturday June 20th we returned for our annual visit! Nick, one of the magnificent Bellhops, went WAY ABOVE and beyond helping my husband, who has mobility problems, (his scooter died) get to our room...he was both kind and caring...Mark Elman, General Manager, was such a great help in working with me to try to resolve an issue with my husband's mobility; he also went above and beyond what is expected. A young women at the front desk, I did not get her name, was amazing and patient with me and another from desk women, had the patience of a saint with me resolving a little problem. I can't thank the entire staff for all their help...I love being Hilton Honor Member...see you soon~

The rating of four stars is due to the excellent location and to one person in particular, Mari Haupt. Mari, the concierge, was incredibly helpful to my family in getting reservations and in finding a place with gluten-free food. We stayed at three different suites on the first floor, which enabled my family members to walk out to the pool at 9 o’clock every morning. Our four children, ages 2 to 11, really enjoyed the slides. Another positive was our location on the beach in front of the rental blue boxes on the beach as well as in front of an OC lifeguard. A negative was the PALM restaurant, which was slow at dinner and especially for breakfast, but I did have flounder at dinner, which was good. Another area for improvement is that our room wasn’t cleaned until after 4:00 every day, which probably means that they are understaffed. By 4:30 vacationers are getting ready to go out so it’s disruptive. I would stay there again because there’s not a better place where you can go to the pool in the ocean and be in the middle of Ocean City and only five blocks from the boardwalk’s end.

The customer service here was excellent. Alison and Arnel were especially helpful with a billing issue and a minor repair to my room’s sliding glass door. I look forward to returning here next summer.
