It’s not everyday you get greeted by a giraffe! We were blown away by the views and the unique lodges surrounded by the mountains and wildlife. Such a tranquil and get away from it all place but with the luxury of a 5 star hotel. Super friendly and helpful hosts who make your stay very special. Dinner and breakfast are delicious (excellent steak!). Slept like a log! Very comfortable bed and really quiet. We had an unforgettable stay full of happy memories which we will be talking about for a long time. Thank you.

An unforgettable experience with up-close wildlife like "our giraffe" that greeted us every morning right in front of the chalets. Thank you to Varley, Hannalize and the staff for being such warm and friendly hosts and for the absolutely delicious food.

What an amazing place! Everything was perfect, the hosts took great care of us with delicious meals on a beatiful decorated table, comfortable rooms with nice vieuws...surrounding by lots of wildlife . There is also enough to do in the environment, one night is not enough ...

We had a breathtaking break away with 5* eperience. The wildlife and scenery was absolutely amazing. The chalet was 5* & the owners are friendly & very helpfull. We were lucky to see the dining of animals every afternoon when they all come to the main lodge/dining area where the owner light fire and serve dinner.

We had the most incredible weekend stay at Zwartberg View Mountain Lodge in February! We stayed in the Nguni Chalet, which exceeded all expectations. The views were breathtaking! The chalet was incredibly cozy and well-equipped, with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The attention to detail was evident in the décor, and it really felt like a home away from home. What made the experience even better was the warm hospitality from our hosts. They were friendly and welcoming, offering helpful recommendations for nearby attractions and making us feel truly at ease. Their kindness really added to the overall experience. We highly recommend Zwartberg View Mountain Lodge. It's the perfect place for a relaxing weekend getaway, with stunning views and exceptional hosts. We can’t wait to return!

This was our second time staying here, and we hope not our last. It is a truly special place, family run and it shows. The attention to detail and the quality of the chalets is impeccable. I thought it could not be improved upon before, but since our last visit you can see the family have plowed even more resources into the accommodation with new doors and special security locks. I certainly did not feel unsafe before but it was comforting to see the upgrades and know it is an ever evolving truly magnificent place to stay. The warm family welcome and chats over the delicious meals makes for a feeling of being welcome. The meals were prepared by the family personally and served with unique plating style. Of course not to forget the animals - our favorite time was early in the morning sitting on the stoep sipping a lovely coffee, soaking up the smell and sounds of nature and watching the Giraffe walking up the hill and the grazing buck in the distance. Truly a special place and a feeling of peace and tranquility.

The most exciting and enjoyable part of our honeymoon was spent here. Varley and his wife are next-level hosts. The homemade food was out of this world and is freshly prepared! The rooms are neat and have everything you need for a special getaway!

What a magnificent place!! Heaven on earth! We absolutely loved our stay here, just sad we did not stay longer. Stunning accommodation, awesome hosts, delicious food, beautiful wildlife. I cannot recommend it enough!! Thank you for a magical stay.
