Hotel Port-Royal

Everything about this hotel is great. The location, the very warm and friendly welcome from the hotel reception team made our stay more enjoyable. Our room was excellent with a superb comfortable bed and good quality shower and bathroom fittings. The bar area was very nice with lovely seating and great service from the staff. We only tried the restaurant Louise once but the food was just amazing and of a high quality and standard. Highly recommended.

The hotel has a great location it is very very close to the restaurants and close to a lot of tourist attractions!

Unfortunately, our experience at this hotel was very disappointing. The most important and completely unacceptable issue, especially for a hotel of this category, was that our room was never cleaned during our entire stay. We complained about this from the very first day, yet no cleaning was carried out and the problem was never resolved. For a hotel of this standard, this is simply unacceptable and, in our opinion, completely fails to meet the basic expectations of its guests. The service at the reception was also poor, with staff who were not particularly helpful or welcoming. The room itself was another disappointment, as the view was directly onto a gas station, which certainly did not contribute to a pleasant stay. The hotel's location was also very inconvenient. It is far from the city's main points of interest, and the surrounding area is quite hilly. Reaching many attractions involves climbing a considerable number of stairs or using a funicular, making it particularly inconvenient for those who want to explore the city on foot. Overall, the complete lack of room cleaning throughout our entire stay, despite complaining from the very first day, was by far the most serious and unacceptable aspect of our experience. Combined with the poor reception service, the unpleasant view, and the inconvenient location, we cannot recommend this hotel. After reading this information, you can decide for yourself.

Receptionist young gentle is very very friendly and helpful. I forgot to check his name though. He is young handsome man with specticle. He allowed us early check in once the room is ready. Hotel is walking distance to many attractions area. Room is very big and with kichinette that can cook light food.

The front desk staff were very friendly, and the location was extremely convenient as it was close to the major tourist attractions.

A cozy, clean, conveniently situated near Quebec Port and only steps away from Old Quebec, this hotel is located in an old building preserving original character and and the same time has all the modern amenities. The room was spacious and had a kitchenette with a stove, fridge, sink, dishes and cutlery which was very convenient. Parking was available onsite at an extra charge.

Wonderful location, delightful staff, small but serviceable laundry facilities. We certainly will return  as we have opportunity to visit Quebec City!
