Residence Inn Raleigh Downtown

Couldn't have had a better experience. Great location, room was perfect, free breakfast, the rooftop bar was nice, and reasonable price for the stay. Also having the attached garage was convenient. I'd definitely stay here again!

Stayed at this hotel due to attending a concert at the Red Hat ampitheater and this location was excellent. The hotel is right there at the ampitheater which was very convenient. The roof top bar was great for drinks!! A very nice hotel overall, we really enjoyed how spacious our room was and how nice everything was. I would definitely recommend staying at this hotel.

Filthy air handling grate in the bedroom. Had to be taken off and cleaned. See photos. Noisy - next to a park / theater that has rock bands and not only can you hear it all (music, applause, bass, drums) but the room was vibrating! Until 11:00pm. Slippery bathroom floor. A tile with a rough surface is needed. The DRY floor is slippery. Good location and overall nice room. But many negatives.

Breakfast was very good. Had some surprisingly good scrambled. Eggs. Can’t eat fried foods so that did limit my choices. However they had oatmeal with many choices of add ins, including a wonderful peach compote freshly made by the chief. They had many other choices including assorted fresh fruit and yogurt. They change the menus each day. The little cafe off the lobby has a nice selection of coffees and beverages, light meals and snacks. The room seems to be more spacious than a regular hotel. We really used the kitchen for the refrigerator and microwave. All of the staff was polite, patient, helpful and when out of their way to help you.

I've used this hotel for animazement, Supercon and Galaxycon. The rooms are well kept, staff are friendly and helpful, and the parking is a time saver. The convenience of being able to walk right next door to the convention center can't be overstated. It's close enough to be in the middle of the fun but far enough away to get away and take a break when you need it without having to drive. This has been our go-to hotel for years.

The service was prompt, friendly and knowledgeable. The front desk helped us navigate to our event. The room was clean and spacious. The decor was inviting. The breakfast was good.

Staff was great and food was good. Only issue was staff not letting us know when our food was delivered and the water pressure was non-existent. Took 20 minutes for hot water.

The breakfast options were good, though the two days we stayed, the options were the same (unlike other reviews). This was not an issue as there were plenty of options for variety. It should be made more clear that the parking is in the garage attached to the hotel and is not included. The fee is relatively substantial at $22/night. However, despite rain, we are completely undercover from our room to our car. The garage is also used for events, but there are parking places reserved for hotel guests even during the busiest events.One other thing that isn't obvious is to get into the garage you need to scan your key, not at the place where it says to scan your pass, but after that where it is marked "room key". You think that is obvious now... but first timers are likely to press the wrong button! The room was very clean and the A/C worked, but was a bit muggy. The bathroom mirror fogged up during a brief shower and did not clear until the door was opened. The bathroom is spotless but the toilet paper was just barely within reach. The valve for the faucet is at the opposite end of the shower. It was different, but there was no problem with this arrangement. As others have said, the lights around the mirror leave a bit to be desired. It was fine, the other room has other mirrors. Despite these oddities, the hotel was outstanding overall and we would definitely return if we come to downtown Raleigh again.
