DoubleTree by Hilton Rotterdam Centre

This is a great hotel, exceeding my expectations! The transportation is incredibly convenient, with a metro station right outside, just 4 stops from Rotterdam Central! There are also several restaurants across the street, including a Vietnamese restaurant which was a lifesaver for me while abroad, and the prices are quite reasonable. The hotel also has its own pool and gym. The restaurant is shared with a neighboring hotel, and the staff are very kind and polite. The food is also delicious!

The room size was just right for one person, and the location is super convenient. There's a tram stop (lines 3 and 5) and a metro station right downstairs, and it takes less than 10 minutes to get to the central station. A minor drawback is that the bathroom doesn't have a separate shower, so it gets quite wet after every shower. Also, the kettle wasn't very clean! But overall, it was still a great stay!

Overall, a pretty good experience! I arrived in Rotterdam around 11 AM and tried to check in, but was told the room wasn't ready yet. So I just dropped off my luggage and went out to explore. When I returned to the hotel around 6 PM to check in, the front desk informed me that all the standard rooms were taken. I was pleasantly surprised to be upgraded to a river-view room, directly facing the Erasmus Bridge! The room was also larger than the standard rooms I'd stayed in at other hotels in the same chain (perhaps due to my Hilton Honors membership, or maybe because a tour group had booked all the standard rooms). The hotel is conveniently located with a metro station right outside that goes directly to The Hague, and a tram that takes you to Rotterdam Central Station. The only minor drawback is that the hotel is next to a main road, so there can be some noise from motorcycles. If that bothers you, I'd recommend requesting a room facing the river.
