I paid a bit extra for AmericInn since their rating was better. We were in St. Peter for a surgery at their hospital as I broke my knee cap.
1. We were not given the discount for having the surgery.
2. Worse than #1. We were given a room on the 2nd floor with no elevator and me on crutches.
3. Worse than that was the clerks response to my questioning, “ no elevator”. The clerk stated that I should have requested the “Special Need” for an elevator on my reservation. My reservation was not refundable.
4. I had to sign up for AmericInn “special rewards” program to avoid having to pay $5. The internet was so slow I could not get a program to sign me in (I tried 3 times and I received a message that I was timed out”)
Bad experience with AmericInn. Once I receive a response on this compliant I will rate my stay on social media (if there is a response).

Our room was very clean. The staff was great. The bathroom could be bigger but you can't change the space.

Found a blunt in pull out couch into bed but we got ahold of staff and they got new pitted mattresses pad cover. Breakfast in the morning needs some help because not much to eat or pick from. And makes hard when a person with diabetes to only have hard boil eggs and fruit cups

great place to stay.
love that no pets are allowed! (except service animals, of course)
don't even mind that the breakfast is light since Caribou Coffee is across the parking lot. I would stay again if I was in the area.

Room was nice, staff very nice. Only one shower chair (in pool area). I needed a room with two queen beds and a shower chair or transfer seat as I am an amputee. The said I could use the one from the pool and could call when done. They would return it to the pool for me.
My recommendation is you purchase two shower chairs and two transfer seats for elderly and amputees. They are under $100 each.
We will be back when my son has his next surgery later this spring.
