Yitel Premium (Shanghai people's Square Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street)

Unfortunately, the hotel is in need of a complete refurbishment. The walls (rooms, floors, etc.) have large water stains, and there are mould spores around the air conditioning units. The good reviews came from the hotel itself, which asks guests to give it 5 stars at checkout in exchange for gifts. The only positive things about this hotel are the very friendly staff, who are genuinely helpful, and the good location.

We really enjoyed our stay here! The hotel is in a great location, making it very convenient to get around Shanghai. The hotel staff were very helpful, friendly and accommodating throughout our stay. We also appreciated the thoughtful anti-slip design in the bathroom, especially when travelling with children. During our stay, we bought quite a lot of items from Taobao 😄 and had them delivered directly to the hotel. All of our parcels were well received and handled by the hotel, which made everything very convenient for us. Overall, we had a very pleasant stay and would definitely recommend this hotel to other travellers and families! 👍

The hotel is right next to the pedestrian street and very close to the Bund. Although the check-in counter is located on the 4th floor, the check-in process is quite convenient. The room is new, but the facilities are fairly basic.

Would definitely recommend and revisit. Location very convenient. The room was very clean, there was a massage chair which was great. The washroom shower was clean, toilet was clean, sink was clean, bed felt clean, shampoo n soap didn't feel rough. I only took a video of the inside of the room, no picture to upload, but the lobby looks hella nice. The room looked fancy, the carpet inside the room didn't smell stuffy. The AC worked well. Service was great, very fast; cleaners were friendly too. Only complaints would be, elevators wait takes a while, and halfway AC on 7th flr could not cover the entire hallway. .
