Songzanlinli | Snow Mountain & Lake • Temple View Manor (Inside Songzanlin Monastery Scenic Area)

This stay exceeded my expectations! My favorite part was the floor-to-ceiling window in the room; sitting there, enjoying the breeze and the lake view during my downtime was incredibly therapeutic. The room was spotlessly clean, the bedding was comfortable, and the soundproofing was good. The owner was very thoughtful and responded quickly to any issues. It's also convenient for dining and getting around. I was pleasantly surprised to find such a place in Lijiang and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a holiday getaway.

Of all the guesthouses we've stayed at in Lijiang, this one was the best experience. It's only a 5-minute walk from Songzanlin Monastery, and the decor is stylish and tasteful. You can explore the hotel's third floor, and their dinner was genuinely delicious! The Matsutake mushroom and local chicken stew in an earthenware pot had a wonderfully fresh broth. We had to leave early the next morning, and the housekeeper thoughtfully arranged breakfast for us in advance – so considerate! Plus, they even give you professionally edited photos, which turned out exceptionally well!

Overall, this guesthouse exceeded my expectations. Its location is absolutely superb – directly opposite the back gate of Songzanlin Monastery. You can simply cross the road to enter the temple. Thanks to this prime location, we were able to enter the monastery early in the morning before it officially opened, enjoying a truly peaceful experience. The room's decor and design are very unique, and it's quite spacious. All facilities are well-equipped, and there are even many books on ******* Buddhism in the room. The on-site restaurant is good; the small portion of matsutake hotpot was more than enough for two, with plenty of fresh matsutake mushrooms. The rooftop terrace offers great views for photographing Songzanlin Monastery. The housekeeper and staff were all incredibly warm and friendly, and the welcome snacks were delicious. They also have a large parking lot, which is very convenient for guests.

The housekeeper was incredibly thoughtful. We overslept and missed breakfast, but they kindly brought it directly to our room – so heartwarming! The room was very comfortable, and the view from the fourth floor was absolutely stunning. The hotel even offered a complimentary photoshoot, and the pictures turned out fantastic. On the third floor, there's also a specialty shop where you can buy local products like yak jerky and ******* pear jelly.

Songtsam Linka exceeded my expectations! The room had a fantastic view; I could see Songtsam Monastery right from my window. The ******* ambiance was perfectly captured, and it was so quiet and peaceful. You absolutely *must* visit the specialty store on the third floor ✨ – it's packed with authentic local products: milk dregs candy, highland barley crisps, and yak jerky, all of excellent quality with real ingredients and no inflated prices. The owner was very genuine and patiently explained each item. I bought a few things to take home, and my family loved them. The stay was comfortable, and I could get all my souvenirs here in one go. Highly recommend staying here when you visit Shangri-La! 👍

The butler service was excellent. We checked in quite late, and they had already prepared the oxygen for our child who was suffering from altitude sickness. The hotel environment is very good, and the breakfast is rich and varied. Since the hotel is located inside the scenic area, it's very convenient. The travel photography was also fantastic!

The hotel room facilities are all new, and the view is fantastic. The hotel environment is quiet and relaxing. The souvenir gift boxes on the third floor are beautifully packaged and perfect for gifts. This trip was very comfortable, and I would definitely consider this hotel again next time!

The hotel manager upgraded our room upon arrival and was very accommodating to all our requests. The hotel offers free traditional ******* clothing for photos, and the fourth floor is also a great spot for taking beautiful pictures. On the third floor, there's a specialty area with local white tea, which really enhanced the overall experience.
