The Langham Melbourne

The hotel is connected to Southgate, making the main entrance a bit hard to find. Housekeeping quality was inconsistent; sometimes it was spotless, other times towels weren't collected. The tram stop is just outside the free zone. Other amenities were good, and the night view of the Yarra River was beautiful. Although a bit old, I think it met the standards of a luxury hotel.

Right by the Yarra River and very close to Flinders Street Station. You can walk across the bridge to the CBD quickly, and there are plenty of dining options nearby. The hotel staff are all very enthusiastic, and many of them speak Chinese, which was a huge relief for my elderly family members who don't speak English. The breakfast buffet offers a wide variety of options, including congee, which was really great!

Excellent location, super convenient for getting to places whether by train, foot, or public transport.

The hotel is very close to the train station and the service is excellent. We had to ask the front desk to change rooms in the middle of our stay because of noisy neighbors, and they quickly moved us to a higher floor. Out of all the hotels we stayed at in Sydney and Melbourne during our Australia trip, this was the only one that provided bottled water, which was a really thoughtful touch. The princess-themed decor and limited edition bear display cabinet on the second floor are also very lovely.

Great location! The facilities are a bit older but well-maintained. Service was decent; check-in and check-out at the front desk were smooth, and requests were generally addressed promptly. It was a bonus to find staff who spoke Chinese, which made communication easier. The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of options, both Western and Chinese, catering to most tastes. It was a solid spread that met most people's needs. Overall, my stay was comfortable and uneventful, with no major complaints. It's suitable for both business and leisure travel, making it a reliable five-star option in Melbourne.

A standard Langham pink, this hotel is super girly! We arrived early for check-in and were able to use the 9th-floor spa center to freshen up. Our room overlooked the Yarra River, and the view from the window was incredibly soothing. The 9th-floor pool is also a sight to behold; even though it was winter when we visited, the pool was wonderfully warm and heated at night. Downstairs, there's a whole street of restaurants and bars in Southbank, making dining and drinks very convenient. There's a place called Waterfront that I think is highly rated nearby, and I tried it out – it was pretty good. The toiletries are Diptyque, and the hotel bedding is incredibly comfortable. Overall, it was a fantastic experience.
