Baie Dankie to Claudie, Pieter and Lizzy for a pleasant stay at Ikethla. Our chalet overlooking the valley and the mountains was a homelike place to be. The shower outside makes it feel like being in the bush.Great Breakfast and Diner Menue with perfect service. Heartwarming conversation with Claudie and Pieter. Southafrican music only for us. Even if the fire breaks away some hiking trails, Pieter gave us the opportunity to hike an alternative route (fence trail). We feel like friends.

Perfect stayover for a couple of quiet days in beautiful surroundings. Pieter and Claudie are perfect hosts and will do everything possible to make your stay a memorable one. We booked DB&B and dinner and breakfast were perfect. Respect how they run and re-build the lodge after the devistating fire that they have experienced! Will be back for sure when in the area!

Last stay nine years ago Since then a fire has sadly destroyed much of the surrounding area, restaurant and accommodation. The chalet we were given had not been destroyed and was still in the original beautiful condition. The Managers greeted us on arrival and were friendly. Regarding the inclusive meals, for dinner we were only given two options although the breakfast was very good. Overall we thought the cost of our stay was rather high compared to other accomodation during our three week holiday in South Africa.

Very nice and clean lodges , very friendly received by pieter and claudie in a natural south African style , super Nice walks you can do , different choices up and down and seeing occassional wild things ( bushbuck, klipspringers , zebra and even a leopard ) and nice trees and aloes on the white trail Great food , great sunny weather at the swimming pool .. And at the top of the panorama route if you want to see those great things

Stayed 4 nights and used it as a well placed base for exploring parts of Sekhukuniland and the Mpumulanaga highlands. Seems a bit overpriced, but targeted at foreign travellers. Food was pretty good, nothing too fancy. Rooms very comfortable, only problem is that next door chalet kept aircon going all night long (unnecessary), and its only 5m away from bedroom window - which I wanted to keep open, so not as quite as it should have been. Previous manager had badly neglected to maintain the many great walking trails, but new manager is now working on them. Tree name labels also not maintained, but not all correct anyway.

Iketla lodge was a wonderful experience for us as returning guests from Johannesburg and for our UK friends on their first visit. The hospitality and warm welcome was excellent, as was the food; we thoroughly enjoyed the 3 nights spent in these lovely surroundings. Thank you to our hosts Pieter & Claudia

Want a peaceful retreat near the panorama road, with 4 star service and excellent setup ? Go there. The team shows great expérience in taking Care of guests, thé accomodation is perfectly decorated and the location is idéal. Bravo!

Very nice location. A beautifull clean and spacious lodge with a porch for animal spotting. They offer several beautifull walks you can do on your own. Friendly hosts who take the time to give you information you want.
