Posh Residence Luxury Suites

This property should not be rated 5 stars. The air conditioner wouldn’t stay on for more than an hour, and there was no bottled water available except from a vending machine. When we asked for a late checkout, the staff was incredibly rude and knocked on our door at 11:01, forcing us out of the room. I asked for 15 minutes to shower and change after walking 20 minutes uphill to get breakfast, which was the most inconvenient request I could have made. The main receptionist knocked on my door ten times within ten minutes, informing me to check out. My in-laws stayed in the two-bedroom suite, and the staff was incredibly rude and unhelpful.

Mixed experience at Posh. The hotel looks good, modern and is very clean. Little bit oddly situated compared to the surrounding residential buildings and doesn’t really fit in by comparison but the views of the sea and marina from the hotel are great. The reception staff were also great, very friendly and overall accommodating. The old town is about 25 minute walk which is a bit long but an Uber to the old town was cheap and always available. Our air conditioning was broke in both bedrooms when we checked in. They were both leaking and the main bedroom temp wouldn’t go below 26C. The staff were very apologetic but could not get the air con company to attend that first night, which I could accept given it was towards the end of the day. Then the second day they did also not attend and we spent a second night with broken air conditioning. On the third day the staff moved us to another suite and the air con was fine. As we were only staying 4 nights this did ruin a lot of our holiday and for 730 euros a night I wouldn’t expect issues like this to take that long. Also to note as the complex is quite small the suite balconies overlook the pool area. We had a loud group staying at the same time and as they spent most of their time at the pool it ruined any peaceful sitting out on the balconies for us, not the hotels fault but also not ever an issue for me when I’ve stayed at a larger 5 star chain hotels. The gym was good, and the free coffee machine in reception was a nice touch. I feel like the place could do with a bar (which it did apparently once have) but it was easy to get drinks ect delivered from local supermarket via apps. Overall the experience has put me off ever going for apartments/small hotels again, and I probably would have given it a lower score if it weren’t for how nice the staff were. Still it has some positives and would suit others fine, it just wasn’t the relaxing/stress free couples holiday I was hoping for.
