Adge Hotel & Residence

So close to Surry Hills, it was perfect for breakfast/brunch; we could get to Surry Hills in basically 5 minutes. I'd definitely go again!

The hotel's location is near a residential area, so if you take a leisurely stroll behind the hotel, you'll find many popular brunch cafes. Most of them open between 7-8 AM, and there are also a few charming little shops. The hotel is conveniently located about a 12-13 minute walk from Museum Station, and it's a reasonable 40-minute walk to the Opera House. The hotel rooms are generally clean, and they provide cleaning service almost every day, which was the best part. Of course, there's nothing you can do about dust in the corners of the carpet. I would definitely consider staying here again on my next visit to Sydney. As a side note, I had a twin bed room, and it was much more spacious than the pictures showed, offering plenty of room for two people, which was very comfortable.

Sydney's city center isn't that big, so this hotel, being about a kilometer from Chinatown, felt a bit out of the way. However, it's very close to Hyde Park, and the surrounding area is residential with fewer restaurants and not many people on the streets at night. Actually, it's only about 500 meters from the core area. The hotel itself is quite new. We booked an apartment, which had two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a living room, and a very large balcony. It even had two washing machines, which was great for my husband who can't go without a cigarette. Unlike the Regis Hotel, which doesn't provide bottled water, the Aichy Hotel offers drinking water and a kettle, making it very suitable for Chinese guests.
