Hampton Inn & Suites by Hilton Tacoma

The bathroom seriously needs some pest control, particularly many ants and some unknown bugs. The room is 333, just next to a storage room, which might be where those ants came from. Other that than, the room is generally clean.

Our family has stayed at Hampton Inn hotels across the country for years because of their consistently excellent customer service. Unfortunately, our experience with this location was very different. We booked two rooms in a single transaction through the Hilton app, but they were assigned separate confirmation numbers. When our travel plans changed nine days before our trip, Hampton Inn Tacoma treated them as two separate cancellations and charged us for both rooms. Hilton Corporate told me this was not the standard booking process and agreed that our situation warranted some flexibility. They attempted to work with the hotel to provide a partial refund, but the decision ultimately rested with the hotel, which chose to fully charge us for both rooms. We had planned to stay at another Hampton Inn in our new destination, but instead were charged the full cost of both rooms despite canceling nine days before our scheduled stay. This experience was not consistent with the Hampton Inn brand we've come to trust. Because of how this situation was handled, we booked our stay with a different hotel chain instead. Based on our experience, I would recommend considering another hotel in the area if responsive and flexible customer service is important to you.

We stayed 2 nights in May. The room was clean, beds soft, area central for restaurants. The breakfast was decent. We used the pool and it was clean. My only complaint is dogs in the breakfast area, so while we were having breakfast others were feeding their dogs from their plates in the same area. I’m not sure what the regs are in Washington or whether this is considered a restaurant area but it was a turnoff for me.

Amber, at the Reception Desk was so nice and helpful. She told me where close restaurants were and that was just what I needed after a long drive. My room had been upgraded to a king suite with a walk-in shower and that was spectacular!!! I didn't eat breakfast there because I preferred to sleep late. The bed was so comfy!!! I slept soundly each night. No noise to be heard. The only thing I didnt like was there was no Diet Dr. Pepper in the cold case. Coke products, which I drank, but not my drink of choice. Basically, I had zero complaints and would definitely stay there again if I was in the area.

Breakfast had a good variety with some healthy choices. The breakfast staff were polite but were complaining about guests in Spanish. The pool and hot tub were overcrowded and loud. We weren't able to enjoy time in there. The room was clean. Overall was a good place to stay
