Hotel Midtown Richardson

Had a great stay at Midtown Richardson Hotel in Ximen from 29 August to 2 September 2026. The location is definitely the biggest highlight. The hotel is right in the heart of Ximending, making it extremely convenient to explore the shopping streets, restaurants, cafés and night market. Ximen MRT Station is also within easy walking distance, which made getting around Taipei very convenient. The room was comfortable and clean, and the overall stay was pleasant. The staff were friendly and helpful whenever we needed assistance. I also liked how convenient the hotel was after a long day of sightseeing — plenty of food and shopping options are just steps away. Overall, a great choice if you want to stay in the Ximending area, especially for first-time visitors to Taipei. Would definitely consider staying here again on my next trip to Taiwan! 🇹🇼

This hotel is not recommended at all. You have to pay almost for everything. Early check in until baggage storage there is a fee for everything. The staff was very rude. Google review unfortunately already has everything about this hotel. No ammenities at all in this hotel. This hotel is not maintained well.

Location wise is near to ximending shopping district. Rooms are decent, aircon is not cool enough. If you need very cold aircon, do not choose this hotel. It is a big hotel, sometimes the wait for the lifts especially at check out timings is time consuming.

The hotel is very good location, just besides the 西門站， automatic check in, very convenient, but the room area is quite small, transparent door for showers and toilet, quite embarrassed 😂

Hotel felt v much like a 4-star. Room is v clean. Self-check-in with guidance from staff is v efficient. One thing about Taiwan toilet bowls are they are bad at flushing, but this hotel reacts quickly to request for stuck bowls by sending housekeeping to suck it all. Location is good - near XMD but away from the noise. Nearby has really good luroufan (San dai) that opens till late! Lobby lift area always has toilet **** smell though, ventilation not good. Hotel is a “environmentally friendly” hotel so they don’t provide basic toothbrush and toothpaste. Quite turned off for a really good hotel. But that’s all.

right across ximending. great location for food, shopping, and tour meet ups. i just hope they’d offer varieties on their breakfast menu coz they serve same food everyday but quality of food, fruits, and drinks were great.

Great location near the MRT and very good room. Just needs better dusting on the walls and curtains to be spot on.

Not so good. But not so bad, but overall it’s okay. It’s just the bidet or the Japanese style bowl is not working at all. That’s it.
