Absolutely charming! Our room was in one of the several historic buildings just around the corner from the lobby. Traditional Japanese decor with refined touches. The room was spacious with a beautiful bath and very comfortable beds. The staff was so nice. Dinner was delicious as was breakfast. If you want to feel a part of the old town, this is a great place to stay.

Top notch hotel near Rabbit Island
Lovely hotel with phenomenal multi course Japanese breakfast and dinner. We used it now twice while visiting Rabbit Island. Would highly recommend it.

古民家や古い銀行をリノベーション宿泊出来るようにした宿。竹原を観光するには、数少ないホテルであり貴重な存在。 部屋は、昔の建物を残しているせいか全体的に立て付けが良くない。 浴室の引き戸は、宿泊中に途中で動かなくなり、開きも閉まりもしなくなってしまった。 部屋も広さはあり、高級感を醸し出そうとしているが、タオル掛けなど備品であれ？っと思うようなこともある。 コンシェルジュの方の対応、雰囲気もよく、特に問題はないのだが、高級旅館に宿泊したときのような満足感は、感じることは出来なかった。 宿泊代金も、割高だと思う。

レストランが別棟なのでちょっと面倒ですが、一人でも利用できるのが良かったです。 お風呂も入りやすかった。 部屋に飲み物いろいろあり。

因島からの帰り道、大久野島に寄り道できることを思いつく！どうせなら一泊と思い立ち泊まってみたかったホテルグループニッポニアブランドがあることを知り車中で予約。 歴史、文化、建築が好きなので、大洲にあるニッポニアの存在は知っていた。面白いコンセプトに興味深々。豪商のお屋敷でチェックイン、立派ではあるがこの古い家屋のどこに宿泊するのか？と少し不安になった一方で、チェックインに対応のスタッフの方が、都会や小慣れたサービスを受けられるホテルのスタッフ同様洗練された雰囲気だったので安心。 チェックインのためのお屋敷は、バーラウンジを併設するのみ。お部屋は、そこから少しそぞろ歩き。台風後のキャンセルで空いていた唯一の一室は”蔵”。お食事も昔は料亭だった建物。 窓ガラスなども当時のままらしく華奢で歪みがあり可愛い。なるほど面白い‼︎素敵な石畳と昔ながらの町並みが残されていて雰囲気あり。 地産地消の夕朝食ともに、季節感も感じられ目にも美しく、また手の込んだ繊細で食感など工夫が感じられとても美味しかった。 バーラウンジやダイニングなど少し離れた場所にあるのも浴衣を着てその町に溶け込むことが出来るのは嬉しい。 マイナス面をいうと、バーラウンジはこの価格帯のホテルにしては少し寂しい。またお部屋の飲み物も、日本酒何本も置かなくても、地酒を広めるために、一本だけでもお持ち帰りできるなとしてみてはどうか？紅茶、コーヒー含めて全て持ち帰り不可と書いてあることにがっかりする。 また蔵宿泊は少しひやひや。寝室は2階になり、急な階段を登らなければならない。 美味しい日本酒を楽しんだものの、夜中に一階にあるお手洗いに辿り着くために夫婦でハラハラ。

古い家屋をリニューアルした客室は、水回りは とても綺麗でした。檜風呂は、良い香りがして、大きくて温泉ではないのに、何回も入りました。
