Hotel Grand Chancellor Townsville

The hotel staffs were amazing! The reception allowed me to check-in as early as 10am (coz there was one room available already) and that was a huuuuuge help for someone who had to wake up 2am for an early flight to Townsville. The room and bathroom were both clean. The bed was absolutely comfy and the bedsheets were so fresh I slept so well! When the TV controller didn’t work, a staff immediately came to help. For the amenities, coffees, teas and kettle are provided. It’s a hotel room so no microwave. There’s also iron and ironing board in the closet, a good quality hairdryer, shampoo/conditioner/shower gel and a small personal kit with cotton tips. The housekeeping staff will clean your room everyday and provide fresh new towels. You just need to bring your own toothbrush, toothpaste, comb/hair brush and a hair straightener if you use one coz they have none of those. There’s a 24-hour convenience store across the road but they’re twice as expensive so I suggest you go to Woolies which is only a few minutes walk from the hotel. Bear in mind though that shops here close early e.g. Woolies on a Sunday closes at 6pm. The hotel location is perfect, however, cars won’t be able to access the hotel location on Sunday when the Cotters Market is on from 8am to 1pm.

Great location right in the city center, making it super convenient to walk everywhere. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and the room was very clean and comfortable. Highly recommend!

The hotel located at the town area. Woolsworth is like 100 m pls away. Nothing to shout about on the breakfast but hotel staff is nice and friendly. We went opposite just outside woolsworth to hv brunch at sakana sushi bar. Enjoyed it

The accommodation is good, it is near the place where my father in law needs to go. It's very convenient.
