Hotel Plaza Venice

Facilities: This is a very old-fashioned hotel. The lobby seems to have been recently renovated, but the rooms haven't. Cleanliness: Average. Environment: It's right opposite the train station, which is super convenient. Plenty of food options nearby, and there's even a Chinese supermarket behind it. Service: The check-in process took an incredibly long time, not sure why.

It's a bit hard to describe, but for this price, I can't really complain much. The location is excellent, right opposite Mestre train station. Everything else, though, had issues. The breakfast felt like there was hardly anything edible, and the tap water in the room was a cloudy, milky white! The air conditioning in the room also wasn't very effective... I guess the only good thing was the price.

The hotel's front desk staff were very welcoming. We were able to check in early and store our luggage for free. Although it's an older hotel, the facilities are well-maintained, clean, and tidy. The hotel is conveniently located directly across from the train station, and the 24-hour transport pass made it easy to access the main island, take a water bus, visit Burano (Rainbow Island), and see the Grand Canal. The Western breakfast was delicious.

The hotel's location is really good, right opposite Mestre train station. However, the staff weren't very welcoming and didn't offer much information. The room itself was quite old and the water pressure was very low, making it necessary to shower in the bathtub. The toilet area was tiny, and there was only one power outlet in the entire room, which was very inconvenient.

Environment: Quiet and convenient, right opposite the train station. Service: Warm and friendly, even when we arrived late at night. At breakfast, they even offered me a tray so I could take food up to my sick child.

The male receptionist's attitude was a bit mediocre, but the hotel really offers good value for money. For 500 RMB a night in Europe, with breakfast included, and the rooms being relatively new and in a good location, it's quite a find. If you're visiting Venice, this place is definitely an option. The breakfast isn't really tailored to Asian tastes, but it's decent enough to fill you up. It wasn't as good as the slightly more expensive hotel I stayed at, but it definitely did the job.
